Apulki Healthcare Thane is seeking a Biomedical Engineer to manage, maintain, and support diagnostic and laboratory equipment across diagnostic centers in Pune and Mumbai. The role emphasizes safe operation, regulatory compliance, and uptime through preventive maintenance.

The ideal candidate will set up new radiology and pathology systems, coordinate with OEMs, and provide hands-on training to end-users. Travel to multiple sites is required, with a focus on reliability and service quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a diagnostic center, hospital, or healthcare facility.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic equipment such as X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Biochemistry & Haematology Analyzers.
  • Understanding of equipment standards and regulations (NABL/NABH).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to different sites.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to departmental policies and procedures to ensure safe, quality biomedical equipment services.
  • Resolve technical problems to ensure smooth operation and high user satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with engineers for AMC/CMC breakdowns and perform preventive maintenance as scheduled.
  • Monitor spare parts and ensure timely delivery.
  • Install new equipment and train users in collaboration with OEM.
  • Plan calibration and inspection visits with vendors; travel to centers for support.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Biomedical Engineer to manage, maintain, and support diagnostic and laboratory equipment across our diagnostic centers. The ideal candidate will ensure all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards while supporting the setup of new radiology and pathology and maintaining uptime through preventive and corrective maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to departmental policies and procedures to ensure continuous, safe and quality services of biomedical equipment to clinical care facilities
  • Ensure timely resolution of technical problems of the biomedical equipment to ensure smooth functioning of biomedical equipment and highest internal satisfaction.
  • Coordination with company engineers for breakdown of equipment s which are under AMC/CMC and Responsible for preventive maintenance of the equipment s as per the schedule. Maintain the proper records for breakdown and maintenance and SLA to be monitored.
  • Responsible for spare requirement requisition and monitor on spare delivery.
  • Responsible for site requirement, installation, of new equipment s training to user by company engineer. In alignment with the OEM
  • Attend to and ensure prompt response to service call logs and take timely actions.
  • Perform Installation of Biomedical Equipment in coordination with vendor
  • Plan and coordinate with vendor engineer to execute calibration and inspection of the biomedical equipment and need to visit and travel to the centre for breakdown support and PMS
  • Conduct equipment operational and technical training to the end-user for safe and efficient utilization of biomedical equipment.
  • Execute training programs in collaboration with Service Partner and maintain training documentation
  • Maintain Breakdown data and Collect the document the service report of the maintenance activities and breakdown report carried out by vendor for respective equipment, Maintain hard copies and upload service and training manuals in the ERP for reference and record
  • Carry out critical root cause analysis of repeated breakdown event to understand and overcome the frequent breakdown issues of critical equipment
  • Responsible for coordination with company engineer & user department and schedule the PM visit as per AMC/CMC agreement.
  • After of repair or any replacement of procure parts bills are submitted to the department after verification done and with documented evidence.
  • Monitor the daily breakdown and take a daily follow ups of breakdown and closed all breakdowns within the TAT.
  • Developing new vendors and alternative solutions.
  • Validating technical requirements of equipments.
  • Coordination with maintenance team for maintaining climate condition around equipment.
  • Should have knowledge of MS excel, Word and Power point.
  • Min 1-2 years of experience for handling multiple sites.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
  • 13 years of experience in a diagnostic center, hospital, or healthcare facility.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic equipment such as X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Biochemistry & Haematology Analyzers, etc.
  • Understanding of equipment standards and regulations (NABL/NABH).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to different sites.
Preferred Skills
  • Hands-on experience in installation, maintenance, and service of diagnostic and Pathology/radiology equipment.
  • Good communication and coordination abilities.
  • Exposure to Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) is a plus.
