Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and support biomedical equipment (MRI, pacemakers, monitors, lasers).
• Design and develop new medical devices and instrumentation based on clinical needs.
• Conduct safety tests to ensure compliance with FDA, ISO, CE and hospital protocols.
• Train clinicians and staff on proper operation of equipment and software.
• Analyze clinical data from equipment tests and diagnose malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with doctors, therapists, and researchers to translate clinical needs into specifications.

Role & responsibilities

Designation : Biomedical Engineer

• Equipment Management & Maintenance:
• Install, adjust, maintain, repair, or provide technical support for biomedical equipment (e.g., MRI machines, pacemakers, patient monitors, and laser systems).
• Research & Development: Design and develop new medical devices, artificial organs, replacement parts, and instrumentation using engineering principles and biological knowledge.
• Safety & Compliance: Conduct safety tests on medical equipment to ensure compliance with regulatory standards (such as FDA, ISO, and CE markings) and hospital safety protocols.
• Training & Consultation: Train clinicians, nurses, and other hospital staff on the safe and proper operation of complex medical machinery and software.
• Data Analysis & Troubleshooting: Analyze clinical data from medical equipment tests, diagnose technical malfunctions, and implement prompt corrective solutions to minimize equipment downtime.
• Collaboration: Work in multidisciplinary teams alongside doctors, therapists, and researchers to understand clinical needs and translate them into functional engineering specifications.

• Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering, Bio-engineering, or a closely related Diploma in medical field.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electronics, bio-mechanics, bio-materials,
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with medical device regulations, quality assurance standards (ISO 13485), and clinical safety protocols.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills for interacting with medical staff and patients.
