Job summary

Egis is seeking a skilled BIM professional in Bengaluru, India to support the Project BIM Lead in developing 3D models and BIM deliverables for underground and roadway projects. The role involves integrating subsurface utilities designs, coordinating with civil, equipment, and operations teams, and ensuring adherence to project requirements and international standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in BIM processes and tools.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, ACC, and Bluebeam Revu.
• Strong coordination, documentation, and version control practices.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of Project BIM Lead.
• Develop comprehensive 3D models for underground dry utilities and roadways.
• Create BIM deliverables compliant with project requirements and standards.
• Manage BIM interfaces with civil, equipment, and operations teams.
• Maintain up-to-date models reflecting revisions, phasing, and as-built conditions.
• Support preparation of drawing package.
• Prepare engineering drawings in 2D/3D and BIM deliverables (NWC, NWD, IFC).
• Contribute to QA/QC processes and document control (TIDP, MIDP).
• Coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure design integrity.

Job Description

• Work under the direction of Project BIM Lead.
• Develop comprehensive 3D models for underground dry, as well as roadways, grading of surfaces.
• Develop BIM deliverables compliant with project requirements, international standards, and client expectations.
• Manage BIM interfaces with other project areas (civil works, equipment, operations, etc.).
• Maintain up-to-date models reflecting design revisions, construction phasing, and final turnover, including accurate representation of as-built conditions.
• Support preparation of drawing package.
• Knowledge of subsurface utility engineering principles.
• Prepare engineering drawings, 2D and 3D designs of utilities and prepare BIM deliverables in .NWC, .NWD, and IFC file formats.
• Contribute to quality assurance/quality control processes.
• Contribute to BIM deliverables such as TIDP, MIDP, version and document control.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in BIM processes and tools.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D (utilities, alignments, corridors, assemblies, surfaces, and data shortcuts), AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Autodesk Desktop Connector, and Bluebeam Revu.
• Experience with modelling of underground infrastructure design (dry utilities, duct banks, water, sanitary, storm, drainage) will be an asset.
• Strong knowledge of CAD platforms (Civil 3D & AutoCAD) will be an asset.
• Working knowledge of BIM process, development of design and review process over Autodesk construction cloud (ACC) will be an asset.
• Excellent coordination, documentation, and version control practices.
• Self-directed, detail-oriented, and capable of managing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams.
