Job summary

AECOM in Bengaluru / Bangalore is seeking an inBIM Modeler - MicroStation to join our Enterprise Capabilities team on a hybrid basis. The role focuses on 2D drafting in MicroStation, data import from Civil 3D/OpenRoads/InRoads, and coordination with BIM teams for civil infrastructure projects.

The candidate will ensure CAD standards, assist with data translations, and support project-wide document control using ProjectWise/ACC within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Technology, or Civil Drafting.
• 3–6 years of MicroStation-based drafting and modeling for civil infrastructure or utility projects.
• Proficiency in MicroStation and Civil 3D; working knowledge of Civil 3D surfaces, alignments, profiles, and pipe networks.
• Familiarity with Bentley OpenRoads Designer / InRoads Designer workflows; knowledge of municipal infrastructure standards and construction documentation; knowledge of wet utility networks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and edit 2D drawings, including plans, profiles, and cross-sections, using MicroStation.
• Import, reference, and coordinate SID files and design data from Civil 3D, OpenRoads Designer, InRoads Designer.
• Support utility and infrastructure design teams in developing construction drawings, layouts, and as-built documentation.
• Ensure deliverables comply with client CAD standards, libraries, file-naming conventions, and UTM Zone settings.
• Manage drawings and project data within ProjectWise / ACC environments for document control, versioning, and collaboration.
• Collaborate with engineers and BIM coordinators to maintain consistency between MicroStation and Civil 3D datasets.
• Generate drawing sheets, annotations, dimensions, and labels per project templates and QA/QC.
• Assist with data translation, including DWG-to-DGN and DGN-to-DWG conversions; support coordination for utility corridors and alignments.

Job Description

• Manage drawings and project data within ProjectWise / ACC environments for document control, versioning, and collaboration.Collaborate closely with engineers and BIM coordinators to maintain consistency between MicroStation and Civil 3D datasets.
• Generate drawing sheets, annotations, dimensions, and labels in accordance with project templates, scale-specific requirements, and QA/QC procedures.
• Assist with data translation, including DWG-to-DGN and DGN-to-DWG conversions, while maintaining data integrity.Support multidisciplinary coordination and interface checks for utility corridors, alignments, road infrastructure, and associated civil works.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Technology, or Civil Drafting.
• 3–6 years of experience in MicroStation-based drafting and modeling for civil infrastructure or utility projects.
• Proficiency in MicroStation and Civil 3D.Working knowledge of Civil 3D, including surfaces, alignments, profiles, and pipe networks.
• Familiarity with Bentley OpenRoads Designer / InRoads Designer workflows is an added advantage. Strong understanding of municipal infrastructure standards and construction documentation practices. Good knowledge of wet utility networks, including water, sanitary sewer, and stormwater systems.
