Job summary

Deerns Spectrum Private Limited is seeking an experienced BIM Modeler specialized in Electrical and ELV systems for our Mumbai (Thane) office. The role involves creating, updating, and coordinating BIM models for MEP services, ensuring compliance with project standards and client requirements.

You will use Revit for detailed 3D modelling, perform clash detection with Navisworks, and produce CSDs while coordinating with HVAC, Plumbing, Architectural, and Structural teams.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of BIM modelling experience for Electrical & ELV systems.
• Knowledge of IEC, NFPA and local electrical codes.
• Design experience is an added advantage.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Experience on international projects.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BIM models for electrical and ELV systems (lighting, power, data, CCTV, access control).
• Create accurate 3D models using Autodesk Revit and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Generate Combined Services Drawings (CSDs) and perform clash detection.
• Extract drawings, schedules, and quantities from BIM models.
• Support BIM Coordinator/Manager with audits, quality checks, and documentation.
• Ensure drawings/docs are updated and controlled throughout the project lifecycle.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced BIM Modeler specializing in Electrical and ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems.

The selected candidate will be responsible for creating, updating, and coordinating BIM models for MEP services while ensuring compliance with project standards, BIM workflows, Level of Development (LOD), and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BIM models for electrical and ELV systems including:
  • Lighting
  • Power distribution
  • Cable trays
  • Fire alarm systems
  • CCTV
  • Access control
  • Data systems
• Utilize Autodesk Revit to create accurate and detailed 3D models
• Interpret design inputs, drawings, and project documentation
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including:
  • HVAC
  • Plumbing and Firefighting
  • Architectural
  • Structural
• Generate Combined Services Drawings (CSDs)
• Perform clash detection and resolution using Navisworks Manage or similar tools
• Extract drawings, schedules, and quantity take-offs from BIM models
• Ensure all drawings and documentation are updated and controlled throughout the project lifecycle
• Support BIM Coordinator/Manager in:
  • Model audits
  • Quality checks
  • Documentation
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of BIM outputs
• Provide regular progress updates to reporting managers/superiors

Software Proficiency

• ACC and other cloud collaboration platforms

Skills & Competencies Required

• ITI / Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in BIM modelling for Electrical & ELV systems
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards such as:
  • IEC
  • NFPA
  • Local electrical codes
• Design experience will be an added advantage
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Experience working on international projects
• Self-driven, disciplined, punctual, and hardworking
• Basic knowledge of Revit plugins for automation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
