Job summary

Deerns India in Mumbai invites a BIM Modeler to join our Thane office on a permanent, on-site basis. You will generate MEP drawings using Revit, develop P&IDs and isometric drawings, and produce complete 3D models for mission-critical facilities. Fresh graduates with exceptional Revit skills are welcome.

Ideal candidates have a diploma/ITI in Mechanical engineering, 1–2 years BIM (Revit) experience, good English communication, and the ability to work beyond hours when deadlines demand it.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI in Mechanical engineering.
• 1–2 years BIM (Revit) experience; fresh graduates with strong Revit skills welcome.
• Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
• Willing to work beyond regular hours to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Generate complete Mechanical or Plumbing drawings/plans in Revit with minimal supervision.
• Create P&IDs and piping layout drawings; develop isometrics.
• Generate complete Combined Services Drawings and 3D models.
• Update drawings/records and maintain project documentation.
• Coordinate with other engineers and drafters; provide status updates to BIM Manager.
• Develop and upgrade technical skills through coursework or self-study.

Roles & Responsibilites

• Generate complete Mechanical, or Plumbing drawings/plans in Revit with minimal Engineer supervision for use in project.
• Utility Generation & Distribution P&IDs
• Piping Layout drawings
• Isometric drawings
• Generate complete Combined Services Drawing
• Ensure all drawings and records are updated, controlled and in placed throughout duration of project.
• Works with our clients during pre-construction phase to build the 3D models, 2D Shop Drawings, As Built and Submittal drawings.
• Calculate/design pipe sizing/pipe routing
• Coordinate and work closely with other engineers and draftspersons.
• Provide regular status updates to Superiors/Principal
• Continuously undertake to improve and update technical skills through self-study and/or formal course work.
• Assist in the general day-to-day operational activities and perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
• Diploma / ITI in Mechanical engineering
• Min. 1-2 years related working experience as BIM (Revit).
• Fresh graduates with exceptional skills in Revit are welcome to apply.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English Language
• Able to use BIM (Revit), AutoCAD, and other related software.
• Must have knowledge of identifying and solving clashes.
• Able to carry out drafting work. Those with design experience will be an advantage
• Must be self-initiative, discipline, punctual and hardworking.
• Willing to work beyond regular hours when necessary, to meet deadlines and/or when requested
