Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Mumbai seeks an experienced PHE BIM Designer to lead BIM/CAD work for public health systems on multi-disciplinary projects. You will coordinate Revit MEP models with architectural, structural, and mechanical teams, and deliver fully coordinated 3D BIM outputs in line with BEP and client requirements.

You will mentor BIM technicians, drive process improvements, and support planning, budgeting and scheduling for project delivery, including international collaborations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years BIM/CAD experience in building services projects.
• Lead Designer with BIM/CAD work packages and supervision experience.
• Experience delivering projects on Revit BIM platform within last 3 years.
• Experience in ISO 19650, BEP, and BIM coordination workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver Public Health BIM models and CAD outputs with minimal supervision.
• Develop and coordinate Revit MEP models with Architecture, Structure, and MEP teams.
• Prepare public health layouts for drainage, water supply and fire protection.
• Produce coordinated 3D BIM models using Revit and BIM platforms.
• Ensure deliverables meet BEP, client specs, and regional standards.

Atkins Global Technology Centre (GTC) is seeking an experienced PHE BIM Designer with 5 to 15 years of experience to join our Mumbai office. This role involves working on multi-disciplinary projects, focusing on delivering high-quality BIM and CAD outputs that meet international standards. Opportunities within our team range from consultancy services to client-side project delivery, as well as site supervision and operations, offering diverse responsibilities and exposure to global projects.

Your Role

• Lead and manage the delivery of Public Health BIM models and CAD deliverables with minimal supervision.
• Develop and coordinate Revit MEP models in collaboration with Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical teams.
• Prepare public health layouts and schematics for drainage, water supply, and fire protection systems.
• Produce fully coordinated 3D Public Health models using Revit and other BIM platforms.
• Ensure BIM deliverables comply with project standards, BEP requirements, client specifications, and regional standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary coordination, clash detection, and design review activities.
• Support project teams during technical reviews and project delivery stages.
• Contribute to BIM process enhancements, quality improvements, and best-practice implementation.

Estimate project effort, resource requirements, timelines, and delivery schedules based on project stages, architectural inputs, scope, and BIM execution requirements.

• Assess project complexity and develop time and cost estimates for BIM/CAD deliverables across various design stages.
• Support project managers and discipline lead in planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and schedule forecasting to ensure successful project delivery.
• Review architectural information and project requirements to identify risks, dependencies, and delivery constraints during the estimation process.

About You

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 5 years of BIM/CAD experience in building services projects.
• Proven experience as a Lead Designer managing BIM/CAD work packages and supervising BIM technicians.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Autodesk Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
• Demonstrated experience delivering projects on the Revit BIM platform within the last three years.
• Ability to interpret engineering calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary BIM coordination and project delivery workflows.
• Experience working on projects across UK, Middle East, India, APAC, or other international regions.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and deliver tasks to agreed quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
• Familiarity with BIM standards, quality assurance procedures, and project delivery requirements.
• Working knowledge of ISO 19650, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and industry BIM standards.
• Experience with Navisworks, clash detection, and model coordination workflows.
• Knowledge of MicroStation, OpenBuildings Designer (OBD), and other BIM platforms.
• Experience mentoring, coaching, and supervising CAD/BIM teams.
• Understanding of project planning, budgeting, and resource management.
• Strong stakeholder communication and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
• Experience implementing and enforcing BIM standards across projects.
• A technically strong Lead BIM Designer capable of independently managing BIM delivery across HVAC, Electrical, or Public Health disciplines.
• An individual with proven leadership abilities, strong coordination skills, and a commitment to quality.
• A proactive professional who can mentor team members, drive BIM excellence, and support project delivery objectives.
