Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Mumbai is seeking an experienced Structural BIM Designer with 5–15 years' experience to deliver high-quality BIM and CAD outputs for multidisciplinary infrastructure projects, complying with UK CAD/BIM standards.

You will develop Revit and AutoCAD models, coordinate with engineers, support design delivery, and contribute to BIM best practices while working in a collaborative BIM environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience using Revit Structures on multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong hands-on experience with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD for BIM/CAD delivery.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications and design information.
• Knowledge of BIM workflows including ISO 19650 and BEP.
• Experience on UK infrastructure projects preferred.
• Familiarity with BIM coordination, clash detection, and model reviews.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver BIM/CAD models and drawings with minimal supervision.
• Produce and coordinate Revit and AutoCAD deliverables for multidisciplinary projects.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and design information to develop accurate 2D drawings and 3D BIM models.
• Collaborate with engineers and other disciplines to support design development and delivery.
• Ensure deliverables comply with UK CAD/BIM standards and quality procedures.
• Participate in model reviews and coordination activities with multidisciplinary teams.
• Support project teams by producing drawings, schedules, and documentation within timelines and budgets.
• Contribute to BIM best practices and digital delivery workflows.
• Develop reinforced concrete and structural steel detailing drawings in accordance with project requirements.
• Produce and coordinate RC and steel detailing models, GA drawings, sections, and detailed drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Prepare concrete reinforcement detailing and steel connection detailing while ensuring accuracy, constructability, and compliance with project standards.

Atkins Global Technology Centre (GTC) is seeking an experienced Structural BIM Designer with 5 to 15 years of experience to join our Mumbai office. This role involves working on multi‑disciplinary projects, focusing on delivering high‑quality BIM and CAD outputs that meet international standards. Opportunities within our team range from consultancy services to client‑side project delivery, as well as site supervision and operations, offering diverse responsibilities and exposure to global projects.

Your Role

• Develop and deliver BIM/CAD models and drawings with minimal supervision while ensuring quality and compliance with project requirements.
• Produce and coordinate Revit and AutoCAD deliverables for multidisciplinary infrastructure and structural engineering projects.
• Interpret engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and design information to develop accurate 2D drawings and 3D BIM models.
• Collaborate with engineers and other disciplines to support project design development and delivery.
• Ensure all deliverables comply with UK CAD/BIM standards, project requirements, and quality procedures.

• Produce and coordinate RC and steel detailing models, GA drawings, sections, and detailed drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.

About You

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Revit Structures on multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD for BIM and CAD delivery.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Experience developing BIM models and drawings using engineering calculations and design inputs.
• Knowledge of multidisciplinary and multiregional project delivery standards and BIM workflows.
• Understanding of inter‑discipline coordination requirements and collaborative design processes.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and deliver assigned tasks to agreed schedules and budgets.
• Familiarity with ISO 19650 principles, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and common BIM delivery practices.
• Experience coordinating with engineers and project teams to support design and project delivery.
• Knowledge of Navisworks, MicroStation, and OpenBuildings Designer (OBD).
• Understanding of clash detection, model coordination, and BIM review processes.
• Experience working on UK infrastructure or multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Awareness of BIM standards, quality assurance procedures, and document control requirements.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
