Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in BIM coordination/modeling.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary BIM models.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models across MEP, structural, architectural, civil, and other engineering disciplines.
• Manage and maintain federated BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review models and drawings for accuracy, completeness, constructability, and coordination.
• Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks and Revit.
• Identify clashes, assess impact, and coordinate resolutions with respective discipline teams.
• Lead BIM coordination meetings with internal teams and project stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain clash reports, coordination reports, model review reports, and issue logs.

Role Description

Genesis Tech Engineers is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented BIM Coordinator to join our engineering team in Pune. The BIM Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary BIM models, ensuring model quality and consistency, identifying design and spatial conflicts, and supporting the successful delivery of complex engineering projects.

The role will involve working closely with mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, architectural, and project management teams, as well as collaborating with clients and project teams in the United States.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of BIM workflows, coordination processes, Revit, AutoCAD, and clash detection, along with the ability to effectively communicate technical issues and coordinate their resolution.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models across MEP, structural, architectural, civil, and other engineering disciplines.
• Manage and maintain federated BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review models and drawings for accuracy, completeness, constructability, and coordination.
• Perform clash detection and coordination using tools such as Navisworks and Revit.
• Identify hard and soft clashes, assess their impact, and coordinate appropriate resolutions with respective discipline teams.
• Conduct regular BIM model quality checks and ensure compliance with project-specific BIM standards.
• Review model elements, naming conventions, coordinates, levels, worksets, families, parameters, and other BIM requirements.
• Coordinate equipment layouts and spatial requirements within industrial and manufacturing facilities.
• Support the integration and coordination of complex MEP and mechanical systems within building and facility models.
• Lead or participate in BIM coordination meetings with internal teams and project stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain clash reports, coordination reports, model review reports, and issue logs.
• Track coordination issues and ensure that identified clashes and design conflicts are resolved within project timelines.
• Review design changes and ensure that updates are properly reflected across coordinated models.
• Coordinate with engineers, BIM Modelers, project managers, and other stakeholders to resolve technical and modeling issues.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining project BIM standards, templates, workflows, and procedures.
• Ensure BIM deliverables comply with applicable US engineering, construction, and project standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to BIM Modelers and Junior BIM Modelers.
• Review and provide feedback on BIM models developed by team members.
• Support project teams in developing efficient BIM workflows and improving model coordination processes.
• Assist with the development and implementation of BIM automation and Dynamo workflows where applicable.
• Maintain proper documentation and version control of BIM models and coordination deliverables.
• Communicate project risks, coordination challenges, and required actions to project leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in BIM coordination/modeling.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary BIM models.
• Practical experience with Navisworks Manage and clash detection workflows.
• Good understanding of MEP, structural, architectural, and/or industrial facility systems.
• Strong understanding of BIM modeling standards, workflows, and coordination processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and design documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong coordination and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on semiconductor manufacturing facilities, industrial facilities, data centers, cleanrooms, or other complex infrastructure projects.
• Experience coordinating large and complex MEP systems.
• Knowledge of Revit MEP, Revit Architecture, or Revit Structure.
• Experience with BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud or similar Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms.
• Knowledge of Dynamo and BIM automation workflows.
• Experience with Intergraph Smart 3D / SmartPlant 3D is an advantage.
• Familiarity with US engineering and construction standards.
• Experience working with international clients or US-based project teams is preferred.
• Knowledge of BIM execution plans (BEP), model coordination procedures, and information management practices is an advantage.
