Job summary

FIS in Pune, India is seeking a Billing Platform engineer to analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable billing and revenue management solutions. You will configure, customize, develop, test, and deploy Billing Platform capabilities that drive operational efficiency and business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience with Billing Platform Billing and/or Revenue Recognition, including technical certifications where available.
• Advanced Billing Platform development experience, including reporting, BPQL, widget development, API integrations, and custom development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern web application development practices.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and optimizing REST and SOAP API-based integrations.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL query development, data modeling, and database performance optimization.
• Experience delivering solutions across the full software development lifecycle using iterative and incremental methodologies.
• Strong understanding of application configuration, customization, security concepts, and system integration patterns.
• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects of moderate complexity with a high degree of independence.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced reports, formulas, widgets, and custom solutions using Billing Platform BPQL.
• Execute technical and functional testing to validate solution quality, performance, and reliability.
• Support release management, deployments, migrations, and production implementations.
• Monitor application performance and proactively identify optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to define requirements and validate solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, recommend innovative solutions, and support continuous process improvement initiatives.

About the Role

In this role, you will configure, customize, develop, integrate, test, and deploy Billing Platform capabilities that drive operational efficiency and business outcomes. What You Will Be Doing

What you bring

• Typically requires a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with subscription billing, revenue management, or financial systems platforms.
• Experience with enterprise applications such as Salesforce, Oracle, Zuora, Aria, or similar solutions.
• Knowledge of financial services industry processes, controls, and business operations.
• Experience with release management tools, deployment processes, and environment management.
• Experience mentoring junior team members and contributing to technical best practices.
• Additional certifications in enterprise applications, integrations, cloud technologies, or related disciplines.
