Job summary

Hilti Technology Solutions India is seeking a BI Product Developer to join the Global Hilti Reporting Team. You will partner with business stakeholders to translate data into reliable, actionable insights and help design reports, dashboards, and data models that enable fact-based decisions across the organization.

In a global, agile setting, you will own end-to-end reporting for a dedicated business unit, shape reporting strategies, implement Power BI dashboards, and collaborate with IT and data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, technology, data science, engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of BI, reporting, analytics, or a similar role.
• Experience designing and delivering Power BI reports and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end reporting needs for a dedicated business unit.
• Lead front-end data development and improve data quality with Global Data Governance.
• Shape reporting strategies from concept to implementation.

It’s an exciting time to join the Global Hilti Reporting Team as we shape the future of reporting and analytics across Hilti and drive our digital transformation journey.

As a BI Product Developer, you will work in a global, multicultural, and agile environment, partnering with business stakeholders to translate data into reliable, actionable insights. You will help design and deliver high-quality reports, dashboards, and data models that enable fact-based decision-making across the organization.

This role combines analytical depth, business understanding, and strong collaboration to accelerate the adoption of analytics in both day-to-day and strategic decisions. You will also support internal stakeholders through ad-hoc analyses, project work, and operational tasks—ensuring transparency, accuracy, and continuous improvement in Hilti’s reporting standards.

What You’ll Do

• Act as the single point of contact for a dedicated business unit, owning end-to-end reporting needs within a lean, high-performing reporting team.
• Own front-end data development and continuously improve data quality and accessibility in close collaboration with the Global Data Governance team.
• Proactively shape and drive reporting strategies—from concept to implementation.
• Translate business needs into clear features, epics, and user stories, recommending smart and scalable solutions.
• Identify and manage data sources using SQL, MS Fabric and related technologies.
• Design and deliver insightful dashboards using modern visualization tools such as Power BI
• Ensure seamless end-to-end data flow from back end to front end in partnership with IT developers.
• Contribute to global and regional information management forums, aligning priorities, design standards, and continuous improvements.
• Challenge the status quo by asking the right questions to drive innovation, simplify processes, and reduce complexity.
• Apply AI tools in day-to-day work to increase productivity, improve decision-making and processes, and enhance quality—while exploring and adopting new tools to drive AI adoption within the team.

What You’ll Bring

Background

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in BI, reporting, analytics, or a similar role.

Skills

Must Have:

• Design and develop solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
• Develop and optimize Fabric Notebooks using SQL and Python.
• Solid experience with data visualization and reporting in PowerBI
• Perform ETL/ELT development and troubleshooting using SQL
• Practical knowledge SQL and Python for data loading, transformations
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Comfortable working with large datasets and strong numerical skills.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum frameworks and ways of working.

Nice To Have (Not Madatory):

• Knowledge of in SAP Analytics Cloud, and back-end BEX query design using SAP BW/4HANA.
• Technical knowledge of SAP Business Intelligence (BI/BW) and HANA modeling.
• Good understanding of Sales or Manufacturing KPIs with the ability to translate business needs into value adding data solutions
• Experience working in global, multicultural, and cross functional environments
• Strong business understanding and the ability to look beyond numbers.
