Job summary

Rithvahi Foods Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad, Telangana, seeks an experienced Beverage R&D / NPD Technologist to develop formulations from concept to pilot and manufacturing readiness. This on-site role is a 3-6 month contract with potential permanent opportunities based on performance.

You will work in the R&D lab on diverse beverage categories, from carbonated soft drinks to functional drinks, managing trials, sweetening, pH, stability, and documentation to support scale-up and quality control.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, Beverage Technology or a related field.
• Hands-on beverage formulation / product development / R&D experience.
• Experience with RTD beverages is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop beverage formulations and prototypes independently.
• Conduct hands-on laboratory trials and formulation adjustments.
• Optimise sweetness, acidity, flavour, mouthfeel, colour and overall sensory profile.
• Measure and manage key parameters including pH, Brix and carbonation.
• Work with flavours, concentrates, extracts, acids, sweeteners, stabilisers and other ingredients.
• Maintain accurate formulation records and trial sheets.

What You'll Work On

We're Hiring: Beverage R&D / NPD Technologist

Location: Hyderabad, Telangana - On-site

Employment: Full-time, Temporary Contract (3-6 months)

Salary: ₹30,000-₹45,000 per month, depending on experience

Relocation: Assistance can be provided for the right candidate

Rithvahi Foods Pvt. Ltd. is building an integrated beverage company focused on developing and manufacturing innovative ready-to-drink beverages.

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Beverage R&D / NPD Technologist to work directly in our Hyderabad R&D lab and support the development of products from initial formulation through trials, optimisation, scale-up and manufacturing readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop beverage formulations and prototypes independently
• Conduct hands-on laboratory trials and formulation adjustments
• Optimise sweetness, acidity, flavour, mouthfeel, colour and overall sensory profile
• Measure and manage key parameters including pH, Brix and carbonation
• Work with flavours, concentrates, extracts, acids, sweeteners, stabilisers, preservatives and other beverage ingredients
• Conduct competitor benchmarking and sensory evaluations
• Evaluate ingredients and coordinate with flavour houses and ingredient suppliers
• Maintain accurate formulation records, trial sheets and technical documentation
• Conduct and monitor product stability trials
• Troubleshoot formulation and processing issues
• Support shelf-life and external laboratory testing activities
• Assist with scaling formulations from laboratory trials to pilot and commercial production
• Work closely with the wider R&D, regulatory, quality and manufacturing team
• Support development of SOPs and good laboratory practices as our internal R&D capability grows

Who We're Looking For

• Degree/Diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, Beverage Technology or a related field
• Practical experience in beverage formulation / product development / R&D
• Previous hands-on experience developing RTD beverages
• Good understanding of beverage ingredients and their functions
• Practical knowledge of pH, Brix, sensory evaluation and product stability
• Strong laboratory discipline and documentation skills
• Ability to independently plan, execute and troubleshoot formulation trials
• Experience with carbonated beverages, energy drinks, fruit beverages or functional beverages would be highly valuable.

The Opportunity

This is not a desk-based research position.

You will be physically working in the R&D lab, developing products, running trials, evaluating samples and helping us move successful formulations toward commercial manufacturing.

The initial appointment will be a 3-6 month contract. Candidates who demonstrate strong technical ability, ownership and performance may be offered a permanent position with Rithvahi Foods as we expand our R&D and manufacturing operations.
