Role Overview
We are looking for a Bench PMIC & Power Device Validation Engineer with hands‑on experience in validation, characterization, and debugging of PMICs and power semiconductor devices. The role involves developing high‑power validation platforms, executing silicon bring‑up, performing board‑level validation, and supporting product qualification activities. The engineer will collaborate closely with Design, Product Engineering, Reliability, PCB Design, Manufacturing, and Applications teams throughout the product development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and debug bench validation setups for PMICs and power semiconductor devices.
- Perform first silicon bring-up, engineering validation, functional verification, and device characterization.
- Design, review, and debug evaluation boards, interface boards, load boards, adapter boards, and custom validation fixtures.
- Develop high-current and high-voltage validation platforms for engineering evaluation.
- Conduct schematic review, PCB validation, power sequencing verification, and board-level debugging.
- Integrate connectors, relays, contactors, protection circuits, current sensing circuits, and safety interlocks for high-power applications.
- Implement thermal management solutions including heat sinks, cooling systems, thermal sensors, and monitoring circuits.
- Characterize electrical parameters including BV, VTH, RDS(on), Leakage Current, Gate Charge, Switching Time, Rise/Fall Time, Switching Loss, Conduction Loss, SOA, Efficiency, Load Regulation, and Line Regulation.
- Validate Power MOSFETs, IGBTs, SiC MOSFETs, GaN devices, PMICs, BMS, DC-DC Converters, LDOs, Gate Drivers, Smart Power ICs, Motor Drivers, LED Drivers, and Power Modules.
- Develop automation scripts for instrument control, data acquisition, regression testing, and reporting.
- Perform systematic root cause analysis for hardware, firmware, silicon, and board-level issues.
- Prepare validation reports, characterization reports, reliability documentation, and support NPI, product qualification, and customer validation activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering (EIE), Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, VLSI Design, Microelectronics, Semiconductor Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
- 3- 10 years of experience in PMIC or power semiconductor bench validation and characterization.
- Experience with first silicon validation, board bring-up, hardware debugging, and product characterization.
- Strong understanding of laboratory validation methodologies and engineering documentation.
