Project Engineer‑I – NS(S&CS) SBU

Bangalore, June 2026: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Defence, has issued a notification for Project Engineer‑I positions on a temporary basis for its NS(S&CS) SBU. Online applications are open from June 17, 2026 and the last date to apply is July 4, 2026.

Vacancies: 9 posts. Post Code PRE‑I (SSI‑2026) – 5 posts (UR‑03, OBC‑01, SC‑01). Post Code PRE‑I (TSCS‑2026) – 4 posts (UR‑01, OBC‑01, EWS‑02). 4 % posts are reserved for PwBD candidates. Posting locations: New Delhi, Gurgaon, Gandhinagar, Vizag, Kolkata, Kochi, Chennai, Port Blair, and Mumbai.

Qualification

Full‑time BE/B.Tech in Electronics & Communication, Electronics, Telecommunication, Communication, E&T, Electrical & Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Science (for SSI‑2026). For TSCS‑2026, disciplines include E&C, Electronics, Telecommunication, Communication, E&T, E&E, Electrical, Electronics & Instrumentation, or Instrumentation. Pass Class is the minimum requirement.

Experience (as on June 1 2026)

Minimum 2 years in Installation & Commissioning of Electronic/Electrical systems (for SSI‑2026). Preference for Data Network/VSAT/RHEL/Server Storage/Voice & Video Networking experience. For TSCS‑2026, minimum 2 years in Installation & Commissioning and integration of Electronic/Embedded systems. Teaching, research, internships, and academic projects are not considered as experience.

Age (as on June 1 2026)

32 years for General/EWS. Relaxation: OBC + 3 years, SC/ST + 5 years, PwBD + 10 years (in addition to category relaxation). SSLC/SSC/ISC Marks Card is accepted as age proof.

Salary Package

Monthly pay: ₹40,000 (1st year), ₹45,000 (2nd year), ₹50,000 (3rd year), ₹55,000 (4th year if extended). Additional ₹12,000 / year towards medical/life insurance, uniform, footwear, etc. Retention bonus ₹1,00,000 at end of 4 years (₹25,000 / year). Tenure: 3 years, extendable to 4 years based on performance and project requirement.

Selection Process

Two‑stage process: Written Test (85 marks) and Interview (15 marks). Qualifying marks: 35 % for General/EWS/OBC, 30 % for SC/ST/PwBD in both stages. Interview shortlisting ratio: 1:5 (category‑wise). Final merit based on combined scores. Venue details will be intimated later via e‑mail.

₹472 (₹400 + 18 % GST) for General, OBC, and EWS candidates. SC/ST/PwBD exempted. Payment through SBI Collect (online or at SBI branch). Enter the SBI Collect Reference Number in the application form. Fee is non‑refundable.
