Job summary

SBM Offshore N.V. in Bengaluru is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 5–10 years of offshore oil & gas experience to support detail engineering of static equipment and packages for offshore facilities.

You will collaborate with multi-national clients and internal teams to deliver reliable, code-compliant designs. Responsibilities include preparing deliverables, vendor reviews, bid clarifications, and detailed package engineering for equipment like gas dehydration units and separators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master of Technology in Mechanical engineering.
• 5–10 years experience in offshore Oil & Gas with detail engineering of static equipment and packages.
• Knowledge of international codes (ASME, ASTM, ANSI, TEMA, API).
• Experience in Material Handling Studies preferable.
• Effective team player with good communication for multi-national clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead/Senior Mechanical Engineer in day to day performance of the work.
• Preparation and Checking of Engineering deliverables- Specifications, Datasheet, RFQs, TBEs for Pressure vessels, Storage tanks, Heat Exchangers and skid mounted packages.
• Review of Vendor offers, Prepare Technical Bid clarifications, Attend Bidder clarification meetings, Review and Approval of Vendor drawings.
• Detail Engineering of Packages like Gas Dehydration package, Separators, Coalescer filters, Flare tip.
• Software: PV-Elite/Compress.

• 5-10 years relevant experience in the offshore Oil & Gas industry with specific experience on Detail Engineering of Static Equipment and Packages for Offshore Oil and Gas facilities – Wellhead platforms, Fixed Process Platforms, FPSO topsides.
• In depth knowledge of International Codes and Standards applicable with the discipline (such as ASTM, ASME, ANSI, TEMA, API)
• Experience in Material Handling Studies is preferable
• Should be an effective Team player, capable of working with Multi-National Clients and possess Good communication skills
