Job summary

The role focuses on assisting senior engineers, preparing technical deliverables, and coordinating with EPC partners to ensure compliance with international codes and project schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master of Technology in Mechanical engineering.
• 5-10 years offshore Oil & Gas detail engineering experience on rotating equipment.
• Strong knowledge of rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines).
• Experience with International Codes and Standards (ASTM, ASME, ANSI, API).
• Good communication and ability to work with multinational EPC and Engineering companies.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead/Senior Mechanical Engineer in day to day tasks.
• Prepare and check specifications, datasheets, RFQs, TBEs for rotating machinery on offshore facilities.
• Review vendor offers, prepare bid clarifications, and approve drawings.
• Detail engineering of packages like chemical injection, water maker, fire water pumps, cranes, diesel gensets.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead/Senior Mechanical Engineer in the day to day performance of the work
• Preparation and Checking of Engineering deliverables- Specifications, Datasheet, RFQs, TBEs for Pumps, Compressors, Gas Turbines, Engines and other Machinery on Offshore Oil and Gas facilities
• Review of Vendor offers, Prepare Technical Bid clarifications, Attend Bidder clarification meetings, Review and Approval of Vendor drawings
• Detail Engineering of Packages like Chemical injection package, Potable water maker, Fire water pumps, Pedestal cranes, Diesel Generators etc.

Requirements

• Bachelor/Master of Technology - Mechanical
• 5-10 years relevant experience in the offshore Oil & Gas industry with specific experience on Detail Engineering of Rotating Equipment and Packages for Offshore Oil and Gas facilities – Wellhead platforms, Fixed Process Platforms, FPSO topsides modules.
• Strong knowledge of rotating equipment engineering principles (pumps, compressors, turbines)
• In depth knowledge of International Codes and Standards applicable with the discipline (such as ASTM, ASME, ANSI, API)
• Experience in Material Handling Studies is preferable
• Effective Team player, capable of working with Multi-National EPC and Engineering Companies and possess Good communication skills.
