Job summary

The Hoxton Bengaluru City is seeking a passionate Barista to join our team in Bengaluru City. You will prepare specialty beverages, deliver warm guest service, and contribute to the vibrant all-day dining bar experience in a lively hotel setting.

Ideal candidates will have experience as a Barista in specialty coffee shops or hotels, with strong espresso, milk texturing and latte art skills, and a customer-focused attitude.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Barista in a specialty coffee shop, lifestyle restaurant or hotel.
• Strong knowledge of espresso preparation and latte art.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea and beverages to quality standards.
• Deliver a warm, friendly and memorable guest experience.
• Maintain knowledge of coffee beans, brewing techniques and recipes.
• Upsell menu items and seasonal specials.
• Clean and maintain coffee equipment and bar area.
• Monitor stock levels and report replenishment needs.
• Keep the area tidy and hygienic, following protocols.
• Handle cash and POS transactions accurately.
• Collaborate with Kitchen and F&B teams for seamless service.

The Hoxton is opening its very first neighbourhood hotel in Asia, coming to India’s Bengaluru city centre in 2026. This is a major milestone for the brand as it ventures into a new continent entirely and we are now looking for a brilliant leadership team to help bring this lifestyle brand to the market.

Located in the heart of the city centre, The Hoxton, Bengaluru City will bring its undeniable brand DNA and guest experience to India’s “Silicon Valley”, a high-tech city filled with parks and gardens and known for its vibrant cafe and pub culture - very apt for a brand that was founded in London!

Job Description

What you’ll do…

• Prepare and serve exceptional coffee, tea and specialty beverages to The Hoxton's quality and presentation standards.
• Deliver a warm, friendly and memorable experience to every guest, building genuine connections through great service.
• Maintain expert knowledge of coffee beans, brewing techniques, milk texturing and beverage recipes.
• Recommend beverages and food pairings while confidently upselling menu items and seasonal specials.
• Ensure coffee machines, grinders and all barista equipment are cleaned, maintained and operating efficiently.
• Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups and other supplies, reporting replenishment requirements in a timely manner.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation within the coffee bar and service areas.
• Handle cash and POS transactions accurately while following company procedures.
• Work closely with the Kitchen and Food & Beverage teams to deliver a seamless guest experience.
• Stay up to date with coffee trends and continuously develop your product knowledge and craft.
