Job summary

EdRoy Consigliere is seeking a detail-oriented Banking Tester to join our IT Services team. You will design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans for banking applications, ensuring regulatory compliance and data integrity across core banking, payment gateways, and digital interfaces.

You will collaborate with development, product, and compliance teams to validate complex transactions, support UAT, and contribute to secure and scalable financial solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field; ISTQB/CSTE certification desirable.
• Minimum 1 year of software testing experience in banking/financial services.
• Knowledge of core banking systems (e.g., Finacle, Temenos, Oracle FLEXCUBE).
• Proficiency in manual and automated testing, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Hands-on with API testing tools like Selenium, Postman, JMeter, SoapUI.
• Familiarity with PCI-DSS, SOX, GDPR, and local banking compliance.
• Experience in agile and DevOps environments, CI/CD and Git.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

As a Banking Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, security, and compliance of banking applications and systems. Your expertise will be instrumental in validating complex financial transactions, regulatory adherence, and system integrity across core banking platforms, payment gateways, and digital banking interfaces. This role demands a deep understanding of banking workflows, risk management principles, and industry-specific testing methodologies. You will collaborate closely with development, product, and compliance teams to identify defects early, enhance software quality, and support the delivery of secure, scalable, and user-friendly financial solutions that meet stringent regulatory standards such as PCI-DSS, SOX, and GDPR. Your work will directly impact customer trust, operational efficiency, and the overall success of our clients’ digital transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts tailored to banking applications and financial systems.
  
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, performance, and security testing for core banking systems, mobile and web banking platforms, payment processing systems, and APIs.
  
• Validate compliance with financial regulations, data privacy standards, and internal security policies across all testing cycles.
  
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects using industry-standard defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM).
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and compliance officers to ensure accurate test coverage and timely resolution of issues.
  
• Conduct end-to-end testing of financial transactions, including fund transfers, loan processing, account management, and reconciliation processes.
  
• Participate in agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) and support continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  
• Perform data validation and integrity checks across multiple environments, ensuring consistency and accuracy in transactional data.
  
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by preparing test data, guiding business users, and validating real-world scenarios.
  
• Maintain up-to-date test documentation, including test summaries, defect reports, and test execution logs.
  

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; certification in testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is highly desirable.
  
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in software testing within the banking or financial services industry.
  
• In-depth knowledge of core banking systems (e.g., Finacle, Temenos, Oracle FLEXCUBE) and financial application workflows.
  
• Proficiency in testing methodologies including manual and automated testing, regression testing, and end-to-end testing.
