Job summary

PwC India is seeking a Backup & Recovery Engineer SME with 7+ years of experience to design, implement and optimize enterprise backup and data protection across hybrid environments. You will work on Cohesity, Rubrik, Commvault, and other platforms while leading automation and IaC efforts.

The role involves ensuring cyber-resilient architectures with immutable storage, performing DR tests, and ensuring regulatory compliance and audit readiness across technology stacks.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of enterprise backup, restore and data protection engineering experience.
• Design, implement, administer and optimize backup solutions across hybrid environments.
• Strong scripting in Python, PowerShell, Bash and Linux tooling.
• IaC and automation with Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines.

Enterprise Backup, Restore & Data Protection Engineering - Design, implementation, administration, and optimization of enterprise backup and recovery solutions across hybrid environments.

• Backup Technologies & Storage Platforms - Cohesity, Rubrik, Commvault, NetApp, Dell Data Domain, IBM Safeguarded Copy, and related backup ecosystems.
• Scripting, Automation & Engineering Excellence - Python, PowerShell, , Linux, Bash, operational tooling, remediation automation, and engineering best practices.
• Terraform, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation - Terraform, Ansible, CICD, Scripting
• Cloud & Hybrid Data Protection Platforms - AWS/Azure backup, cloud-native recovery, VMware, storage technologies, and hybrid infrastructure protection.
• Cyber Recovery & Immutable Backup Architecture - Air-gapped backups, immutable storage, ransomware recovery, integrity verification, and cyber-resilient designs.
