Job Description:

• Knowledge of Veritas Appliances, Replication (AIR), InfoScale Cluster.
• Moderate knowledge on Veritas Appliances/Replication/Cluster/Database Backup & Restoration / NDMP.
• Install and troubleshoot Remote Backup Agent on all required servers.
• Manually trigger failed backup jobs.
• Perform checks for capacity issues on backup server.
• Configure and troubleshoot backup jobs.
• Troubleshoot hung, long running, long queued and slow backups.
• Perform tape assessment, tape ejects & loads.
• Perform data restoration from backup.
• Perform media management and process tapes for off‑site storage by coordinating with vendors.
• Work on cloud backup responsibilities.
• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot Networker issues, media agent and client software.
• Perform proactive maintenance, including hardware and software upgrades and patch installation on Windows and UNIX platforms.
• Maintain and monitor backup infrastructure and physical tape libraries.
• Configure & troubleshoot creating storage policies, sub‑client policies, schedule policies, and NBU/Networker tracker policies.
• Configure, maintain and troubleshoot backup, replication and backup copy jobs.
• Install and maintain Veeam Cloud Connect server.
• Troubleshoot backup & copy jobs.

Good to Have Skills

• Configure and troubleshoot creation of backup jobs, retentions, and policies.
• Configure SQL, Oracle, Exchange, SharePoint, Share, and virtual machine backups.
• Troubleshoot cloud replication and optimization task issues.
• Perform simple restores from backups and troubleshoot restore related issues; in-depth knowledge of RTO/RPO.
• Perform backup environment system tuning including monitoring, troubleshooting and optimizing performance.
• Experience working with managed services/IT services companies.
