Job summary

Purview Services in Hyderabad/Pune Hybrid is seeking an experienced Backup Administrator (NetBackup) to manage NetBackup installations, configurations and routine maintenance. The role involves incident resolution, patch management and complex backup scheduling across UNIX, Windows and ESX environments.

You will work with SAN storage, Data Domain appliances, Veritas Vault, Commvault integration, and reporting tools to produce operational insights.

Qualifications

• L3 NetBackup installation and configuration.
• Troubleshooting backup failures and taking appropriate steps.
• Experience with Veritas Enterprise Vault and Data Domain appliances.
• Configuration and troubleshooting of SAN Client backup and Fiber Transport.
• Understanding of SLP and Vault.
• Upgrading and patching the Backup servers.
• Oracle SQL integration with NetBackup and VMware replication.
• Backup restoration/DR for UNIX and Windows hosts.
• Oracle backups restore integration with Commvault.
• Understanding of TCP/IP concepts.

Responsibilities

Main activities Perform regular system maintenance including Incident solving Change implementation Patch management Analyze solve performance and security issues Complex backup scheduling maintenance also includes helping solve complex problems related to operating system databases middleware or applications teams:-

Need to have clear understanding on SAN Infrastructure and Architecture Understanding of functional requirements and translation of business requirements into technical specifications.

• Some knowledge on Object storage CenteraATMOSECSeVault administration.
• Preferred to have good understanding of VMWare IntelliSnap backups restore through Commvault.
• Oracle backups restore integration with Commvault.
• Understanding of Hyperscale Appliances with Commvault.
• Understanding of storage policies Schedule policies data aging concepts in Commvault.
• Understanding of reporting tools like NetBackup OpsCenter NetBackup IT Analytics Commvault reporting server .
• Having strong reporting skills and understanding of excel ppt to formulate reports out of product data .
• Configure customize and schedule reports in Backup reporting product tools.
