Job summary

Purview Services in India is seeking a Backup Administrator to manage NetBackup environments. The role includes installation, configuration, maintenance and incident resolution across UNIX/Windows servers and related storage.

You will work in a hybrid setup in Hyderabad/Pune, perform patch management, complex scheduling, and restore/DR procedures while coordinating with Oracle SQL, VMware and Commvault integrations.

Qualifications

• Experience with NetBackup installation and configuration.
• Strong knowledge of backup architectures and recovery.
• Exposure to Veritas Enterprise Vault and Data Domain appliances.
• Hands-on experience with VMware and Oracle SQL backups.

Responsibilities

• L3 NetBackup installation, configuration and maintenance.
• Triage and resolve backup incidents and failures.
• Manage complex backup scheduling and patching of backup servers.
• Support DR and restore for UNIX/Windows hosts.
• Coordinate with Commvault integrations and reporting tools.

Job Title: Backup Administrators( NetBackup)

Location: Hyderabad/Pune Hybrid

Role & responsibilities

• L3 NetBackup Installation configuration NetBackup


• Main activities Perform regular system maintenance including Incident solving Change implementation Patch management Analyze solve performance and security issues Complex backup scheduling maintenance also includes helping solve complex problems related to operating system databases middleware or applications teams:-


• Troubleshooting backup failures and taking appropriate steps


• Hands on experience on Veritas Enterprise Vault and Data Domain appliances.


• Configuration and troubleshooting of SAN Client backup Fiber Transport.


• Clear understanding on SLP and Vault.


• Upgrading and patching the Backup servers.


• Oracle SQL VMWare Replication Director Integration with NetBackup.


• Backup restoration DR of UNIX Windows Host.


• Backup Restore for Oracle SQL ESXNDMP.


• Managing Internal Database of NetBackup.


• Should also have positive understanding on TCPIP concepts

Need to have clear understanding on SAN Infrastructure and Architecture Understanding of functional requirements and translation of business requirements into technical specifications.

Some knowledge on Object storage CenteraATMOSECSeVault administration.

Preferred to have valuable understanding of VMWare IntelliSnap backups restore through Commvault.

Oracle backups restore integration with Commvault.

Understanding of Hyperscale Appliances with Commvault.

Understanding of storage policies Schedule policies data aging concepts in Commvault.

Understanding of reporting tools like NetBackup OpsCenter NetBackup IT Analytics Commvault reporting server .

Having robust reporting skills and understanding of excel ppt to formulate reports out of product data .

Configure customize and schedule reports in Backup reporting product tools. .
