Job summary

VidUnit in Mumbai is looking for a 2D Background/Environment Artist to create 2D backgrounds, interiors, exteriors, landscapes and scene environments for animated TV shows. You will work with storyboard artists, directors and animators to ensure visuals match the scene requirements and maintain consistency across episodes.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of experience, strong drawing/perspective skills, and a solid grasp of lighting, colour and depth, with proficiency in Photoshop/Clip Studio

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience as a Background/Environment Artist in 2D animation.
• Strong drawing, perspective and environment-design skills.
• Good understanding of composition, lighting, colour and depth.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, TVPaint, or similar software.
• Portfolio/showreel is mandatory.
