Job summary

The Lead Vision is seeking a creative Concept Artist to design Characters, Backgrounds/Environments, and Props for our 3D animated kids' content. You will establish visual direction before moving into 3D modeling, texturing, and production.

We are looking for artists who can craft colourful, cute, and highly engaging visuals for English Nursery Rhymes, kids songs, preschool content, and animated stories, ensuring production-friendly concepts for the pipeline.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience as a Concept Artist / Character Designer / Environment Concept Artist.
• Strong drawing, sketching, composition, and digital painting skills.
• Solid understanding of character and environment design, props, colour theory, lighting, and storytelling.
• Ability to create bright, colourful, kid-friendly designs for preschool content.
• Experience in Kids Animation, Nursery Rhymes or preschool content preferred.
• Familiarity with a 3D animation production pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Create original Character Concepts, Background/Environment Concepts, and Prop Designs.
• Design cute, colourful, and kid-friendly characters suitable for preschool audiences.
• Create attractive environments such as farms, playgrounds, houses, classrooms, fantasy worlds, gardens, streets, and other kids-rhyme locations.
• Develop character costumes, hairstyles, expressions, accessories, and colour variations.
• Create front, side, back, and 3/4 character views when required for 3D modeling.
• Define the project's visual style, mood, colour palette, shapes, and overall look.
• Create mood boards, colour studies, and visual references.
• Design production-friendly concepts that can be accurately converted into 3D models and environments.
• Work closely with 3D Modeling, Texturing, Storyboard, and Production teams.
• Follow art direction and revise based on feedback.
• Maintain visual consistency across multiple characters, backgrounds, and episodes.

About the Role

The Lead Vision is looking for a creative and skilled Concept Artist to design Characters, Backgrounds/Environments, and Props for our 3D animated kids' content.

We are specifically looking for artists who can create colourful, cute, appealing, and highly engaging visual concepts for English Nursery Rhymes, Kids Songs, Preschool Content, and animated stories.

The artist will be responsible for establishing the visual direction of characters and environments before they move into the 3D Modeling, Texturing, and Production pipeline.

Required Candidate Profile

• 2–5 years of experience as a Concept Artist / Character Designer / Environment Concept Artist.
• Strong drawing, sketching, composition, and digital painting skills.
• Strong understanding of character design, environment design, props, shapes, colour theory, lighting, and visual storytelling.
• Ability to create bright, colourful, cute, and visually appealing designs for kids.
• Previous experience in Kids Animation, Nursery Rhymes, Preschool Content, or similar colourful animation projects is strongly preferred.
• Good understanding of designing concepts specifically for a 3D animation production pipeline.
• Ability to understand references and develop original designs according to the required art direction.
