APPTAD, Inc. in Pune (in office) is seeking a Backend Engineer with 4 to 8 years of experience to build scalable SaaS platforms and data-intensive AI-enabled products.

You will design and maintain backend services using Python, FastAPI or Django, work with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, Docker and cloud platforms like AWS or GCP, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. • Strong hands-on Python experience.

Job Description

We are looking for a strong Backend Engineer to join our Product & Engineering organization and help build scalable SaaS platforms, AI-powered applications and data-intensive products. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving complex backend problems and building production-grade systemsnot primarily maintenance or CRUD applications.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python.
• Build production applications using FastAPI, Django or similar frameworks.
• Design REST APIs, microservices and asynchronous processing systems.
• Work with PostgreSQL, Redis, queues and event-driven architectures such as Kafka.
• Build reliable backend services supporting data-intensive and AI-powered applications.

We prefer candidates with 2+ year tenures in meaningful roles with ownership of production systems or product areas. For the AI role, strong startup experience can justify shorter periods where the candidate has clearly built and shipped meaningful AI products.

• Maintenance-heavy services profiles
• Candidates with limited production ownership
• Basic API development without meaningful system complexity

Educational Background

Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related technical discipline. Coding strength and engineering capability matter more than college brand.
