Job summary

Capco is seeking a Python Backend Developer in Bengaluru to design, build, and scale FastAPI-based services for large data modeling projects. You will collaborate with data scientists and business stakeholders to operationalize models in production and deliver secure, well-documented APIs.

Your role involves integrating with Azure Data Lake, Databricks Delta Lake, and Azure DevOps, plus establishing robust CI/CD pipelines and automated tests.

Qualifications

• Back-end development with Python, focusing on scalable services and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Build and integrate APIs that expose statistical models and analytical services to front end and external systems.
• Collaborate with data scientists to operationalize models in production.
• Integrate backend services with Azure cloud components including Data Lake Storage, Databricks, Delta Lake, and Azure DevOps.
• Design and implement secure authentication and authorization and API security mechanisms.
• Develop reusable, modular, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability for high-volume data processing.
• Implement automated testing, including unit tests with pytest.
• Collaborate with front-end teams to enable seamless React-frontend integration.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployment and release processes.
• Work with ML flow and MLOps frameworks for model deployment, versioning, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architecture planning.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, API specs, and runbooks.
