Job summary

Pixuate, a deep-tech AI startup, seeks a backend developer to join the core product team in Bengaluru. The role focuses on building scalable Python-based backend systems and Odoo modules, with emphasis on API design and integration.

You will work across requirements analysis, architecture, and implementation, ensuring robust server-side solutions and clean documentation. This position offers growth within a cutting-edge AI platform and collaboration with founders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional web development experience using Python.
• Experience designing and developing Odoo apps (new modules, customization).
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS and JavaScript for frontend integration.
• Hands-on experience building REST APIs and working with at least one web framework; GraphQL knowledge is a plus.
• Technology degree (Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science) and strong communication skills.
• Open to learning new concepts and applying them to real-world problems.

As a backend developer at Pixuate, you will be an integral part of the core product development team, contributing to the growth and success of the company. Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in requirements analysis
• Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture
• Write clean, scalable code using Python programming language
• Design features and user interactions on web pages, and develop APIs
• Create servers and databases for functionality
• Develop front-end website architecture and back-end web applications
• Lead implementation, troubleshoot issues, ensure responsiveness of applications, and see through a project from conception to finished product
• Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support
• Develop technical interfaces, specifications, and architecture

Qualifications Required:

• Minimum 3 years of Professional Web development experience using Python
• Designing and developing Odoo apps (e.g., new module development, customization)
• Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Hands-On Experience with server-side technologies like Python, server-side Javascript
• Understanding of REST APIs and experience in building them on at least one web framework. Bonus if you understand GraphQL too
• Tech/M.Tech preferably in Computer Science
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• An open mind to learn new concepts and implement them to solve real-world problems
