Job summary

eDAS is seeking a Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain core backend components with a focus on real-time communication and scalable systems. Location: Gurgaon/Gurugram, India, with Remote/Onsite options depending on project.

You will build RESTful APIs with Node.js, handle real-time messaging via Socket.IO/WebSockets, and work with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, TypeORM, and TypeScript in a scalable, event-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 5-6 years of backend development experience.
• Strong expertise in Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with Socket.IO / WebSockets for real-time systems.
• Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging systems (Kafka preferred).
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis.
• Experience with TypeORM and TypeScript.
• Understanding of scalable system design and concurrency handling.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
