Job summary

GSM People Consulting is seeking a Backend Developer to design, build and maintain backend services using Node.js in a fintech context based in Mumbai. The role focuses on scalable RESTful APIs, database design with PostgreSQL and MongoDB, and secure authentication with OAuth/JWT.

You will work with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines, contribute to performance optimization, and collaborate with frontend teams to deliver robust, reliable software in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong expertise in Node.js (Express.js or similar).
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL & MongoDB.
• Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Strong understanding of Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in Docker & Kubernetes is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
