Job summary

Axonwise Technologies in India seeks a backend engineer to design, build, test, and operate APIs and backend services, primarily using Ruby on Rails or Python, collaborating with frontend and product teams to shape features and production behavior.

You will design REST APIs, data models, and scalable queries; handle asynchronous work, retries, and timeouts; use logs and metrics to sustain production quality; and work with AI-assisted development tools while ensuring code correctness.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of backend or full-stack development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails or Python and willingness to work across the other stack when needed.
• Experience designing REST APIs, relational schemas, and efficient SQL queries.
• Experience with automated tests, Git-based reviews, and production troubleshooting.
• Regular use of AI tools with the ability to verify correctness and protect application data and source code.
• Clear communication and ownership of work from implementation through production support.
