Job summary

Welspun Transformation Services Limited is seeking a BA Customer Reconciliation to manage end-to-end reconciliation of customer accounts, matching payments to invoices and preparing ageings.

You will coordinate with Sales, Accounts Receivable, and internal teams to resolve variances, support month-end close, and maintain accurate records while upholding financial controls and customer service standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Purpose/ Summary

Manage end-to-end customer account reconciliation activities by ensuring accurate payment matching, resolving billing and payment discrepancies, monitoring outstanding receivables, supporting collections, and maintaining compliance with accounting policies to ensure timely closure of open items.

Job Description

The role is responsible for managing end-to-end customer account reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy of receivables and timely resolution of outstanding issues. The incumbent will perform regular reconciliation of customer accounts, match payments against invoices, investigate payment discrepancies, and prepare customer-wise reconciliation statements and ageing reports. The position involves close coordination with customers, Sales, Accounts Receivable, and internal stakeholders to resolve account variances, clear disputed balances, and ensure timely collection of outstanding dues. Additionally, the role will support month-end and year-end closing activities, prepare MIS reports related to receivables and collections, maintain accurate transaction records, and ensure compliance with company accounting policies, procedures, and audit requirements. The objective is to improve receivable accuracy, enhance cash flow management, and ensure timely closure of reconciliation items while maintaining high standards of financial control and customer service.

• Perform regular reconciliation of customer accounts and outstanding balances to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Match customer payments and receipts against invoices and accounting records to maintain uptodate financial information
• Identify and investigate discrepancies short payments excess payments and unapplied receipts to resolve issues promptly
• Prepare detailed customerwise reconciliation statements and ageing reports for management review
• Follow up with customers regarding outstanding payments and account discrepancies to facilitate timely collections
• Coordinate with Sales Accounts Receivable and other internal teams to resolve reconciliation issues efficiently
• Maintain accurate records of customer transactions and reconciliation activities to support audit and compliance requirements
• Assist in clearing old and disputed outstanding balances to improve cash flow and reduce aged receivables
• Prepare MIS reports related to receivables collections and reconciliations to provide insights into financial performance
• Ensure timely closure of reconciliation items and follow up on pending issues to maintain financial integrity
• Support monthend and yearend closing activities to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Maintain proper documentation and comply with company accounting policies and procedures to uphold financial standards
