Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services seeks an Azure Virtual Desktop SME to lead design and deployment of AVD solutions across India. The role requires 7–12 years in IT infrastructure with deep expertise in VDI, FSLogix, and image management.

You will drive consulting, architecture, and hands-on implementation of AVD, ensuring secure, efficient, and scalable desktop virtualization for enterprise environments. Strong collaboration with MS support and cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 7–12 years of IT Infrastructure experience.
• Strong understanding of VDI technologies with Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Operations and deployment experience in Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Experience in consulting, designing, and implementing Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop solutions (7+ years).
• Good knowledge of Windows Client and Server OS, Azure Image Gallery, and image customization.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver Azure Virtual Desktop deployments end-to-end.
• Coordinate with stakeholders for design, deployment, and optimization of AVD environments.
• Implement FSLogix profiles and related infra in AVD.
• Leverage MSIX App Attach and third-party products where applicable.
• Utilize DevOps practices and Terraform for automation of AVD tasks.
• Configure host pools with optimization and security features.
• Monitor AVD environments using native tools and third-party monitors.
• Handle printer setup and printer service configurations in AVD.
• Collaborate with Microsoft for ongoing critical issues and escalations.
• Knowledge of Group Policy, Active Directory, and registry settings.

Role- Azure Virtual Desktop SME

Desired Experience Range- 7-12 Years

Location- Pan India.

Key Responsibilities:

• IT Infrastructure SME resources with 7 to 12 Years of experience
• Good understanding on VDI technologies Azure Virtual Desktop
• Operations and Deployment knowledge on Azure Virtual Desktop
• 6+ Yrs of Experience in consulting, designing, and implementing Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop solutions
• Good skills on Windows Client and Server OS, Azure Image Gallery. Creating and customization of Images
• Configure and deploy FSLOGIX and required infra in AVD
• Application modernization knowledge with MSIX App Attach & 3rd party products
• Knowledge on automation with DevOps, Terraform, Biceps will be plus
• Configure Optimization & Security features on hostpools
• Monitor AVD environment leveraging Azure AVD native monitor and other 3rd part services ControlUp etc.
• Should be able to Install , Configure and work on Printer Setup and Printer service in AVD
• Able to Work with MS for any ongoing critical issues
• Knowledge on Group Policy , Active Directory and Registry settings.
• AZ140, AZ104 Certification will be an added advantage
• Good analytical and communication skills and willing to take up the ownership.
