Tekskills is seeking an experienced AVD VDI Implementation professional to join our team in Hyderabad. The role requires hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop, VMWare, Citrix, and Nutanix Xi Frame, along with strong troubleshooting skills and PowerShell scripting for automation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of expert VDI experience with AVD, Citrix, VMware, and cloud VDI environments.
• Experience troubleshooting complex VDI deployments across multiple platforms.
• PowerShell scripting is required for automation and operations.
• Strong end-user services domain knowledge in VDI, cloud VDI, and application virtualization.
• Experience with secure access to enterprise compute systems and remote access infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution planning and implementation of VDI, focusing on Microsoft AVD.
• Develop and document implementation guidelines and templated approaches for opportunities.
• Provide advanced technical support, root cause analysis, and monitoring of Cloud Workspace infra.
• Manage Cloud Workspace labs and ensure up-to-date features.
• Coordinate with UC and Directory Services teams for enterprise policy alignment.
• Create technical documentation and implementation guides as needed.
• Provide post-implementation support and optimization recommendations.
• Deliver ad-hoc IT training for client IT teams.
• Implement phased migrations and remote access configurations.
• Maintain procedures for VDI support aligned with policies.

• 10+ years demonstrated strong expert level technical experience in working with Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), AWS, VMWare, Citrix, Nutanix Xi Frame
• Strong experience in troubleshooting VDI deployments
• PowerShell scripting is required
• End-user services domain and associated technical expertise in the following areas: VDI, cloud VDI, and Application Virtualization, workplace automation
• Experience with installation, management, operations, administration and support of the hardware and software that provide secure access to the Enterprise Compute systems that require it (e.g., Citrix Metaframe, virtual desktops, Microsoft Terminal Services).
• Solution Planning and implementation of VDI – Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
• Understanding of UX monitoring solutions viz ControlUP, SysTrack
• Develop detailed implementation guidelines, document, process, and use templatized approaches for new and old customer opportunities.
• Provide advanced technical support, root cause analysis, monitoring, and management of the Cloud Workspace infrastructure.
• Manage the Cloud Workspace labs and ensure it's always up to date with the latest features.
• Work with various stakeholders to make sure that the client's policies & devices always up to date and are implemented across the enterprise
• Enable enterprise-wide implementation of Cloud Workspace solutions
• Coordinate with the Unified Communications and Directory Services teams as needed.
• Prepare technical documentation and implementation guides as needed to support the Cloud Workspace environment.
• Provide recommendations for optimization and assist with implementation of any improvements identified
• Ad-Hoc Training for client's IT teams

• Develop, document, maintain, and continuously improve Procedures for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Support Services in accordance with Policies
• Install, manage, maintain and support remote access Equipment and Software for in scope components for VDI
• Test connectivity and accessibility to required environments made available via VDI access on a schedule basis and take corrective action if access to applications is not available via VDI
• Ability to provide technical assistance and subject matter expertise as required by other IT service areas and Third-Party providers for VDI support
• Provide Virtual Desktop technical support using for Level 1, Level 1.5, Level 2, and Level 3 support
• Provide image creation, deployment, and management for Virtual Desktops in accordance with Customer Policies and Vendor Procedures
• Provide deployment for application and Software for non-standard but authorized items
• ITIL Foundation Certification
• Certification(s) from OEM providers (e.g., VMWare, Citrix, Microsoft Azure, etc.)
