Job summary

Simplify Healthcare is seeking an experienced Azure Solutions Architect to lead the Simplify Health Cloud™. You will design scalable, secure, and cost-efficient Azure infrastructure and ensure interoperability with major healthcare ecosystems.

You will own end-to-end architecture, drive DevOps practices, enforce HIPAA/HITRUST compliance, and optimize cloud costs while interfacing with payer/provider ecosystems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cloud architecture, with at least 3 years in Healthcare payer/provider space.
• AZ-305 or AZ-500 certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of HL7/FHIR integration patterns and healthcare interoperability.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design for secure data exchange with healthcare interfaces (HL7/FHIR).
• Design and manage Azure infrastructure with VMs, App Services, and Function Apps.
• Architect serverless workflows and manage Elastic Database pools for scalable workloads.

Simplify Healthcare is looking for an Azure Solutions Architect with 12 to 18 years experience. Not just a "cloud generalist" but a Healthcare Integration Specialist. This individual must understand the delicate balance between rapid SaaS scaling and the rigid compliance (HIPAA/HITRUST) required when interfacing with major healthcare ecosystems.

As our Lead Azure Architect, you will be the primary architect for the Simplify Health Cloud™. You will be responsible for designing the infrastructure that allows our SaaS product to interface seamlessly with major healthcare ecosystems. Youwill bridge the gap between high-level business strategy and hands-on technical execution, ensuring our platform is scalable, secure, and cost-efficient.

Key Responsibilities

• Healthcare Ecosystem Integration: Lead the architectural design forsecure data exchange and interoperability between our platform and majorhealthcare interfaces (using HL7, FHIR, or proprietary APIs).
• Full-Stack Azure Infrastructure:Design and manage a robust environment using Azure VMs, App Services, andFunction Apps.
• Serverless & Scalable Data:Architect modern, serverless workflows and manage Elastic Database pools tohandle fluctuating healthcare payer workloads.
• Cost Optimization: Implementrigorous Cloud Financial Management (FinOps) to monitor and reduce Azureconsumption costs without compromising performance.
• Cloud Security & Governance:Act as the guardian of our HIPAA/HITRUST compliance. Manage vulnerabilityassessments, identity (Entra ID), and "Zero Trust" networking.
• DevOps & Automation: Drive"Infrastructure as Code" (Terraform/Bicep) to ensure repeatable,audited deployments.

Technical Must-Haves

• Cloud Native Services: Expert-level knowledge of Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Service Bus for event-driven architectures.
• Database Mastery: Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Elastic Pools and Cosmos DB for multi-tenant SaaS scaling.
• Security First: Proven experience with Azure Security Center (Defender for Cloud), Key Vault, and Private Link to ensure data never touches the public internet.
• Healthcare Standards: Familiarity with healthcare-specific integration patterns (claims processing, provider data, and benefits configuration).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience: 8+ years in cloud architecture, with at least 3years specifically in the Healthcare Payer/Provider space.
• Direct Integration Experience: Prior experience working with digital health or claims platforms in large healthcare ecosystems.
• Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) or Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500).
