Job summary

Lorven Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced Azure Platform Architect to lead design, governance, scalability and optimization of large-scale Azure cloud platforms in Bengaluru.

You will drive an enterprise roadmap, security standards and cost-optimization strategies while mentoring platform teams. The role requires 15+ years IT experience with 7+ years in Azure architecture, strong provisioning skills with Terraform/Bicep/ARM templates, and collaboration with security, infra and business

Qualifications

• 15+ years IT experience with 7+ years Azure cloud architecture experience.
• Architect and manage large-scale Azure environments spanning multiple subscriptions, resource groups, and enterprise workloads.
• Define and maintain the Azure Platform Roadmap, including scalability, governance maturity, automation, security, and cost optimization.
• Design and implement Azure Landing Zones, management groups, governance frameworks, and platform guardrails.
• Lead cloud infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, Azure DevOps, and GitHub.
• Drive enterprise FinOps initiatives, including cloud cost optimization, budgeting, forecasting, chargeback/showback, and utilization reporting.
• Cost-optimization strategies using Azure Reservations, Savings Plans, Spot VMs, rightsizing, and workload optimization.
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking: Hub-Spoke, ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN, VPN, Private Link, NSGs, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway.
• Experience with Azure Data Services like Databricks, Data Factory, Datalake.
• Platform security standards with Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, PIM, Key Vault, Managed Identities, Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy.
• HA, disaster recovery, scalability and business continuity for mission-critical workloads.
• Platform monitoring, observability and operational excellence using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights.
• Develop automation frameworks and self-service provisioning to improve governance and efficiency.
• Lead architecture reviews, governance boards and technology evaluations for new Azure services.
• Collaborate with security, infra, applications and business teams to establish enterprise cloud standards and best practices.
• Mentor cloud engineers and platform teams to drive adoption and standardization.

Responsibilities

• 15+ years of IT experience with 7+ years of hands-on Azure cloud architecture experience.
• Architect and manage large-scale Azure environments spanning multiple subscriptions, resource groups, and enterprise workloads.
• Define and maintain the Azure Platform Roadmap, including new service introduction, scalability plans, governance maturity, automation strategy, security enhancements, and cost optimization opportunities.
• Design and implement Azure Landing Zones, management groups, governance frameworks, and platform guardrails.
• Lead cloud infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, Azure DevOps, and GitHub.
• Drive enterprise FinOps initiatives, including cloud cost optimization, budgeting, forecasting, chargeback/showback, and utilization reporting.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses and recommend optimization strategies using Azure Reservations, Savings Plans, Spot VMs, rightsizing, and workload optimization approaches.
• Good understanding of enterprise networking solutions, including Hub-Spoke architecture, ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN, VPN, Private Link, NSGs, Azure Firewall, and Application Gateway.
• Good understanding of Azure Data Services like Databricks, Data Factory, Datalake
