Job summary

Infosys is seeking an experienced Azure Engineer to strengthen our Azure compute, networking, and security posture in Hyderabad. You will partner with engineering, operations, and security teams to deliver secure, compliant cloud infrastructure and modernization initiatives.

The role emphasizes proactive monitoring, Terraform-based infrastructure, and Azure platform administration to keep services resilient and cost-effective while supporting business needs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years Azure cloud experience.
• Experience in backup/restore, ASR, Network, NSG, troubleshooting and operational logging.
• Experience with designing Azure networks (NSG, Gateway, Firewalls, Subnets, Vnets).
• Proven track record supporting production Azure deployments.
• Experience with Azure coding technologies - CLI, PowerShell, ARM.
• Terraform deployments using Azure DevOps, GitHub or GitLab.
• Experience collaborating with security, operations, engineering, and application teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and stability of cloud services via monitoring and Terraform-based management.
• Provide operational support for Azure-hosted services ensuring reliability and performance.
• Drive identification, prioritization, and remediation of security findings across Azure.
• Enable project delivery and enterprise initiatives, keeping Azure services secure and optimized.

Job description

Roles Responsibilities

This role requires strong technical proficiency across Azure compute, networking, storage, identity, security, and governance services, as well as the ability to partner with engineering, operations, and security teams to ensure a resilient, secure, and cost-effective cloud platform. The Azure Engineer plays a critical role in enabling cloud adoption, supporting infrastructure modernization initiatives, and maintaining the overall health and stability of the organization's Azure ecosystem.

• Ensure the health and stability of cloud services through proactive monitoring, Terraform-based infrastructure management, Azure platform administration, and the successful delivery of cloud infrastructure solutions that enable business and application teams to operate securely and efficiently.
• Provide essential operational support for Azure-hosted services, ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of key business platforms. With dedicated ownership of these responsibilities, operational incidents would experience increased resolution times, elevated service risk, and a greater likelihood of business disruption.
• Responsible for driving the identification, prioritization, and remediation of security findings across the Azure environment, directly reducing organizational risk and ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
• Enables critical project delivery, supports enterprise initiatives, and ensures Azure services remain secure, optimized, and aligned with business objectives.

Technical Requirement

• 3+ years Azure cloud experience
• Experience in Azure technologies including but not limited to backup and restore, ASR, Network, NSG, troubleshooting and operational logging
• Experience in azure network design including NSG, Gateway, Firewalls, Subnets, Vnets. Knowledge of azure security constructs
• Demonstrated experience supporting production Azure deployments
• Demonstrated experience with Azure coding technologies - CLI, Powershell, ARM
• Experience with Terraform deployments using Azure DevOps, GitHub or GitLab
• Experience working with teams to deliver complete azure solutions (security, operations, engineering, application team)

Additional Responsibility

• Deep knowledge and experience in software support or development.
• Banking or financial services experience.
• Azure Architect Certified
