Job summary

Octagos is seeking an Azure Network Engineer to design, implement, secure, and manage cloud-based network infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. You will work with VNets, subnets, VPNs, ExpressRoute, and Azure security services to deliver scalable, secure hybrid networks.

You will automate deployments with PowerShell, Azure CLI, and ARM templates, monitor health with native tools, and collaborate with cloud, security, and infra teams to optimize performance and costs.

Responsibilities

• Manage NSGs, Azure Firewall, and DDoS Protection; integrate with Azure AD for identity security.
• Monitor network health using Azure Monitor, Network Watcher, and Traffic Analytics; troubleshoot latency and routing issues.
• Automate resource deployment and optimization using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and ARM Templates.

Position Overview

The Azure Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and managing cloud-based network infrastructures on Microsoft Azure. This role requires deep expertise in Azure networking services, strong understanding of network security technologies, and hands-on experience with automation tools.

Key Responsibilities

1. Network Design & Implementation

• Design and deploy Azure Virtual Networks (VNets) and related components.
• Configure subnets, IP addressing, routing, and VNet Peering.
• Implement Site-to-Site VPN and ExpressRoute for hybrid connectivity.
• Set up Azure Load Balancers and Application Gateways (WAF) for secure traffic distribution.

2. Network Security

• Implement and manage Network Security Groups (NSGs) and Azure Firewall.
• Configure Azure DDoS Protection and secure inbound/outbound traffic flows.
• Integrate with Azure Active Directory for access control and identity security.

3. Operations & Troubleshooting

• Monitor network health using Azure Monitor, Network Watcher, and Traffic Analytics.
• Troubleshoot latency, connectivity, and routing issues using Azure diagnostic tools.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security and performance standards.

4. Automation & Optimization

• Use Azure CLI, PowerShell, and ARM Templates for resource automation.
• Continuously optimize network performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.

5. Collaboration & Support

• Work with cloud, security, and infrastructure teams to integrate solutions.
• Provide expert-level support for network-related incidents and escalations.
• Stay updated with the latest Azure networking updates, releases, and best practices.
