Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Hyderabad, India, is seeking an experienced Linux administrator for 8-12 years of experience. You will manage OS patching, LVM, Samba, NFS, DNS, Centrify and Proxy in a 24x7 environment across physical and virtual servers.

Role requires strong shell scripting and Ansible skills to automate tasks, plus cloud and VM administration across public cloud deployments. This position demands on-site availability in Hyderabad.

Qualifications

• OS patching across physical and virtual servers.
• Complete knowledge on LVM, server hardening and NTP.
• Experience with Samba, NFS and Centrify in AD environments.
• Cloud infrastructure monitoring and VM administration.
• Shell scripting and Ansible for automation.

Responsibilities

• Ability to handle L2 and L3 Linux issues.
• Install, upgrade and configure Red Hat Linux 6.x/7.x on physical/virtual servers.
• Create shell scripts to automate regular tasks.
• Configure and administer LVM, Samba, NFS, NTP, Centrify and Proxy.
• Adhere to SLA and work on incident/change management.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure and network performance.
• Manage cloud services, incidents, problems and SLA.
• Support existing and new applications in the public cloud.
• Implement and maintain security policies and server hardening.
• Create new VMs, set up applications and ensure security compliance.
• Cloud asset/resource management.
• Cloud DR setup and drills.
• Manage third-party software and tools.
• Shell scripting using bash/Ansible.
• Ensure ongoing operational readiness.
