Cognizant in Bengaluru seeks a DevOps Engineer who blends development and systems administration to streamline CI/CD pipelines and minimize errors. You will apply Azure cloud skills, automation, and support deployments for Java web apps and microservices while ensuring security and reliability.

3+ years of DevOps or equivalent, Linux expertise, and strong scripting in Shell/PowerShell are expected. Familiarity with Jenkins, Maven, GitHub workflows and Datadog is a plus.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university
• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or equivalent software-engineering role
• Expert in Linux environments and Azure cloud environment including creation of environments and ARM templates
• Strong command of Docker and Kubernetes technologies
• Expert in CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Maven)
• Experience in Java web applications and microservices
• Knowledge of scripting (Shell, PowerShell) and Python or Ruby
• Knowledge of databases and SQL

• Bachelors degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university in accounting business administration computer science finance or information systems
• High level of experience in Azure cloud environment including -
  • Creation of environments
  • Azure Resource Manager templates
  • Resource groups
  • App Services Environment
  • Service Bus
  • Azure APIM
• Expert in Linux environments
• Strong command of Docker and Kubernetes technologies
• Expert in Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery tools (Azure DevOps CI/CD Maven Jenkins)
• Experience in shell and PowerShell scripting
• Experience in maintaining Java web applications and microservices
• Experience in network server and application-status monitoring (Data Dog)
• Strong command of software-automation production systems (Jenkins and Selenium)
• Expertise in software development methodologies
• Working knowledge of Ruby or Python and known DevOps tools like Git and GitHub GitHub Work flows.
