Cognizant in Bengaluru seeks a DevOps Engineer to bridge development and IT operations, owning automation and CI/CD pipelines across Azure environments. You will optimize deployment, monitor systems, and contribute to secure, scalable software delivery.

Required: 3+ years in DevOps, strong Azure expertise, Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD tools, and scripting skills. Collaboration across teams and proactive problem-solving are essential.

Competenze

• 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or equivalent software-engineering role
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university in accounting, business administration, computer science, finance, or information systems
• High level of experience in Azure cloud environment including creation of environments, Azure Resource Manager templates, resource groups, App Services Environment, Service Bus, Azure APIM
• Expert in Linux environments
• Strong command of Docker and Kubernetes technologies
• Expert in CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps CI/CD, Maven, Jenkins)
• Experience in shell and PowerShell scripting
• Experience in maintaining Java web applications and microservices
• Experience in network/server and application-status monitoring (Data Dog)
• Strong command of software-automation production systems (Jenkins and Selenium)
• Working knowledge of Ruby or Python and DevOps tools like Git and GitHub workflows
• Working knowledge of databases and SQL
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly self-motivated and able to prioritize and execute tasks under pressure

Job Summary

The DevOps Engineer is a combination of a development role and system admin that bridges the gap between developers and the IT team. This roles responsibility is to thoroughly understand the software development lifecycle and understand the automation tools used to create the CI-CD (continuous integration continuous delivery) pipeline. The goal is to minimize coding errors and facilitate rapid deployment of high-quality products. The DevOps Engineer guides code releases from development.

Responsibilities
