Cloud Solution Architecture
This role will contribute to the data and AI platform architectural transformation to realise the vision of analytics and agentic AI across a multi-cloud landscape (GCP, Azure, Databricks) for a future‑fit Organization. This role will focus on implementing a consistent and strong architecture capability across the D&A and AI ecosystem, with primary depth in GCP-native constructs.
Experience
Minimum 5+ years of active work experience on Cloud Solution Architecture, with hands‑on GCP experience and exposure to multi‑cloud or cloud migration programs.
Job Summary
- Drive the adoption journey of new technologies on GCP, with working knowledge of Azure and Databricks to support cross‑cloud solutioning
- Drive cost optimisation at platform level across GCP (and other cloud) workloads
- Drive cloud migration initiatives at platform level (e.g., workload migration to GCP, platform consolidation, catalog/governance migration)
- Collaborate with DevOps/Platform Engineering teams to implement cost‑optimised technical design of application and platform components
- Drive E2E solution design and support projects across different functional areas
- Understand, communicate, articulate and implement solution architecture standards, best practices, performance enhancements and processes
- Integrate ETL, modelling, reporting/presentation and advanced analytical/AI components keeping performance, security, SLAs and functionality in mind
- Pilot different technical patterns, central reusable frameworks and tech strategies across cloud platforms
- Deep understanding of secure‑by‑design and zero‑trust access management to satisfy legal and security requirements, with focus on technical impact including performance of the solution
- Exposure to global teams and ability to work with technical and functional experts across cloud and platform domains
Key Requirements
- Extensive experience architecting at global scale for data, analytical, and/or AI platform solutions, primarily on GCP
- Hands‑on experience with core GCP constructs: Compute Engine/GKE, Cloud Composer/Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Vertex AI, IAM, VPC/networking, and related GCP PaaS/IaaS services
- Working knowledge of Azure equivalents (ADF, Synapse, ADLS) and Databricks (Unity Catalog) to operate effectively in a multi‑cloud estate
- Demonstrated experience in cloud migration projects (e.g., on‑prem to cloud, cross‑cloud workload migration, platform/catalog migration)
- Performance tuning and cost optimisation across GCP PaaS/IaaS components (and other cloud platforms where applicable)
