Job summary

Synechron is seeking a Platform/DevOps Lead responsible for owning IntelligenEVO''s cloud-based EGM management platform and its infrastructure. You will standardize deployments, design SDLC paths, and drive IaC using Terraform on AWS for thousands of devices across air-gapped systems.

You will shape networking, security, observability, and release strategies, collaborating with engineering to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable platforms with a strong DevOps culture.

Qualifications

• Experience automating deployments and IaC with Terraform on AWS.
• Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines and release tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Experience with monitoring/observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Knowledge of container orchestration and deployment (ArgoCD, Helm).
• Experience with security, RBAC and secrets management.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Ansible, Python, Bash).
• Database experience with PostgreSQL, Redis; familiarity with cache/in-memory stores.
• Messaging systems like RabbitMQ and SQS, and API gateways.
• Networking and service mesh concepts (Istio, VPCs) and NGINX/Haproxy.
• Experience with SonarQube and code quality tooling; container registries Harbor/Nexus.

Responsibilities

• Standardize deployments to make them repeatable across environments.
• Design SDLC paths including environments, CI/CD pipelines, templates, and tooling.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code using Terraform on AWS with versioned changes.
• Own SDLC toolchains: GitHub, CI/CD, artifact registries and scanning tools.
• Shape networking patterns for airgapped systems and service mesh adoption.
• Incorporate security from day one: secrets, RBAC, hardening, compliance automation.
• Set up observability focusing on reliability, performance, and business impact.
• Collaborate to define release strategies using Helm/ArgoCD and canary approaches.
• Lead through system design and document trade-offs clearly.

About the Role: This isn''t only maintenance work. You''ll own the platform and infrastructure strategy for IntelligenEVO''s cloud-based EGM management solution serving thousands of devices across air-gapped systems.

What Youll Do

• Standardize deployments to true onebutton workflows (repeatable across many environments).
• Support developers by designing smooth SDLC paths: environments, CI/CD pipelines, templates, localdev tooling, and clear processes that unblock delivery.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code (Terraform on AWS), with tested, reviewed, and versioned changes.
• Own SDLC toolchains: Github, CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Jenkins), artifact registries (Harbor/Nexus), scanning tools (SonarQube/Trivy), deployment orchestrators (ArgoCD/Helm).
• Shape networking and service mesh patterns (VPCs, connectivity for airgapped systems, Istio).
• Bake in security from day one: secrets management, RBAC, hardening, compliance automation.
• Set up observability that matters (reliability, performance, business impact > vanity metrics).
• Partner with engineering to define release strategies (Helm, ArgoCD, canary/bluegreen).
• Lead through system design: define problems, make tradeoffs explicit, and document why.
