Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced AWS Database Engineer with strong expertise in Aurora and Python scripting to manage, automate, and optimize cloud-based database environments. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring database reliability, performance, and scalability while working closely with global onshore teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and maintain AWS-based database environments, primarily Amazon Aurora
• Develop and maintain Python scripts for database automation, monitoring, and operational tasks
• Perform backup management, recovery testing, and disaster recovery planning
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database performance and availability issues
• Coordinate with onshore/global teams for requirements gathering, status updates, and issue resolution
• Ensure high availability, security, and compliance of database systems
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for database operations and automation

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall IT experience with strong focus on AWS database services
