Job summary

HSBC invites experienced professionals to join as AVP - Information Lifecycle Management in Hyderabad. You will act as ILM SME, guide retention and disposition, and collaborate with Tech to deliver automation and controls.

You will build MI, KPIs, and management reporting to provide insight into retention compliance, risks, trends and remediation progress. You will develop SOPs and engage with stakeholders across Markets, Legal, Compliance and Data Owners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with strong expertise in Information Lifecycle Management, data retention, and disposition.
• Experience managing retention across structured and unstructured data.
• Good understanding of legal holds and their impact on retention and disposition.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, operational risk and data control frameworks.
• Experience defining and managing KPIs, KRIs and control metrics.
• Strong operational management and stakeholder management skills.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of AVP - Information Lifecycle Management

In this role, you will be:

• Responsible for undertaking appropriate actions as the Information Lifecycle Management(ILM) Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME), responsible for providing guidance on retention & disposition, procedures and operational controls.
• Build, Develop & enhance Market Intelligence (MI), Key Performance Indicator (KPIs), and management reporting, providing clear insight into retention compliance, risks, trends and remediation progress.
• Build, develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and operational controls to ensure consistent and effective execution.
• Collaborate with Technology and development teams to deliver workflow automation, monitoring, notifications, reporting and retention/disposition capabilities.
• Develop and implement process simplification and continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, control effectiveness and scalability.
• Represent Information Lifecycle Management(ILM) Operations in relevant countries, regional and Group governance forums, providing operational insights
• Responsible for managing stakeholder queries and requests through established service channels, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate escalation.
• Build effective relationships with Markets, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Data Owners and other key stakeholders.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives involving automation, process transformation and control enhancement.
• Develop team capability and ensure strong subject-matter expertise within Operations.

To be successful you will be:

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with strong expertise in Information Lifecycle Management, data retention, and disposition.
• Experience managing retention across structured and unstructured data
• Good understanding of legal holds and their impact on retention and disposition.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, operational risk and data control frameworks. Experience defining and managing Key Performance Indicator (KPIs), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and control metrics.
• Strong operational management, problem solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of industry best practice in retention management and associated tools and products
