Job summary

Power Bridge in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced AV CAD Engineer to design and develop CAD models using AutoCAD, ProE/Creo and Revit. You will ensure all drawings comply with AS9100D and coordinate with architectural, electrical, HVAC, and other trades.

Key responsibilities include preparing AV system drawings, floor plans, cable and equipment layouts, and shop drawings while maintaining records and revision history.

Qualifications

• Experience in AV CAD drawing design with adherence to AS9100D or equivalent standards.
• Ability to coordinate with architectural, electrical, HVAC and other trades.
• Strong attention to detail and thorough documentation of drawings.
• Familiarity with shop drawings and BOM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare AV system drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop floor plans, layouts, elevations, and sections.
• Create cable schedules, equipment placements and termination details.
• Coordinate AV drawings with architectural, electrical, HVAC, networking and interior drawings.
• Review tender documents, site measurements, bill of quantities, and specs.

• Prepare shop drawings, coordination drawings and as-built documentation.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision history and project records.
• Assist in AV Bill of Materials and Bill of Quantities.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced AV CAD Engineer to join our team. As an AV CAD Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing CAD models using various CAD tools such as ProE, Creo, and AutoCAD. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all designs comply with the AS9100D framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare AV system drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop floor plans, equipment layouts, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, and sectional drawings.
• Prepare AV signal-flow diagrams, schematic drawings, rack layouts, and connection details.
• Create cable schedules, equipment schedules, and termination details.
• Mark locations for displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, cameras, control panels, racks, and other AV equipment.
• Coordinate AV drawings with architectural, electrical, HVAC, networking, and interior drawings.
• Review tender documents, site measurements, bill of quantities, and technical specifications.
• Update drawings based on client comments, consultant feedback, and site conditions.
• Prepare shop drawings, coordination drawings, redline drawings, and as-built documentation.
• Ensure drawings comply with company standards, project specifications, and applicable AV guidelines.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision history, document numbering, and project records.
• Coordinate with project and installation teams to resolve design and execution-related issues.
• Support the preparation and validation of the AV Bill of Materials and Bill of Quantities.
• Complete assigned drawings within agreed project timelines.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of AV systems, signal flow, cabling, rack layouts, and equipment placement.
• Ability to read architectural, electrical, and MEP drawings.
• Understanding of conference rooms, auditoriums, training rooms, video conferencing, digital signage, and control-room solutions.
• Good attention to detail, documentation, and coordination skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Revit or BIM tools is an added advantage.
• AVIXA CTS certification is desirable.
