Job summary

Vilas Business Solutions is seeking an AUTOSAR Software Developer for on-site roles in Pune/Hyderabad. The candidate should have 4+ years of hands-on experience in AUTOSAR ECU software development and strong C programming skills.

Responsibilities include design, development and integration of AUTOSAR stacks, MISRA compliance, and collaboration with global teams across the software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Master/Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics.
• 4+ years hands-on AUTOSAR ECU software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of automotive standards like ASPICE, ISO26262 and V Model development.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements for technical feasibility and schedule impact.
• Contribute to software architecture design with the software architect.
• Develop low-level design and implement code per AUTOSAR guidelines.
• Configure AUTOSAR BSW stack (DEM/DCM) and integrate changes.
• Update AUTOSAR module configurations and device drivers as needed.
• Fix MISRA warnings using tools like Klocwork.
• Lead code reviews, requirement reviews and architecture reviews.
• Achieve MC/DC coverage and unit testing for features/modules.
• Coordinate with software architect, project manager and testers.

Job Description

Overall Responsibilities and Duties

• The software developer analyzes the software requirement specifications with respect to technical feasibility, impact on schedule for a software function/feature.
• The software developer contributes to the software architecture design along with software architect for software function/feature.
• The software developer is responsible for development of detail design/low level design for assigned software component/modules using Enterprise Architect.
• The software developer is responsible for the task effort estimation till closure.
• The software developer is responsible for source code implementation as per organizational coding guidelines or AUTOSAR guidelines.
• The software developer is responsible for AUTOSAR BSW stack configuration mostly DEM, DCM and integrate the changes requested in the project.
• Based on the project needs the software developer could be assigned to update other AUTOSAR module configuration or implement complex device driver.
• The software developer is responsible for MISRA warning fixing using Klocwork.
• The software developer organizes and participates in the source code review meetings, requirement review and software architecture design review for the feature/function he is assigned.
• The software developer is responsible for MC/DC coverage and unit testing of assigned software feature/function/module.
• The software developer coordinates with software architect, project manager, software integrator, functional safety manager.

Qualifications

Minimum Education level & experience

• Master/Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics
• Prior hands-on experience of minimum 4 years on AUTOSAR based ECU software development.
• Min 4 years hands on experience in the AUTOMOTIVE software development.
• Strong knowledge of automotive standards like ASPICE, ISO26262 and V Model development.

Must Have Skills and competencies

• Expertise in Embedded C programming and development tools like debugger, programmer, CAN tools – Canalyzer, CANoe/CANape, CANdela.
• Hands on experience with Microcontroller NXP/Infineon/Renesas and protocols CAN, SPI/LIN and GPIO
• 4+ years hands on experience with configuration and integration of AUTOSAR diagnostic stack/memory stack using any one of the AUTOSAR tools like ETAS iSolar B/Vector Da Vinci configurator Pro/EbTresos, etc.
• Strong hands on experience in the software version control and requirement management tools like PTC SI/GIT/ JIRA
• Must have worked/teamed up with global cross function teams from USA/Europe/North America, etc. and worked on the software development lifecycle activities and produced necessary outcomes/work products at each phase.
• Proactive and problem-solving attitude.

Nice to Have

• Hands on AUTOSAR ECU software integration and RTE generation experience.
• Already Owner/responsible of AUTOSAR diagnostic stack -DEM/DCM and configured them from scratch for multiple projects in the organization.
• Experience of working in the scrum team in Agile methodology.
• Hands‑on experience with developing the software architecture design using Enterprise Architect/Any other UML tool.
• Strong hands‑on experience with ISO26262 standard – Chapter 6 for software safety.
