Job summary

HELLA India Automotive Pvt Ltd. in Pune invites an experienced embedded software engineer to work on AUTOSAR basics, MCAL driver development and integration, focusing on embedded C with CAN/SPI interfaces for automotive electronics.

You will use Vector DaVinci, CANoe and DOORS for requirements, testing and configuration, follow MISRA and ASPICE processes, and collaborate with hardware and software teams to deliver reliable, compliant software across ECU projects.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in Electronics or Electronics & Communication.
• 3–5 years of experience in automotive industry.
• Good in communication and proactive in assigned tasks.
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR basics and embedded C development.

Responsibilities

• Develop MCAL drivers for AUTOSAR 4.x with basic hardware interaction.
• Create embedded C software with CAN/CANoe testing support.
• Perform debugging and timing/functional analysis; developer testing.
• Integrate Vector/MCAL with Vector Configurator tooling and DOORS-based requirements updates.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to meet customer requirements.

YOUR TASKS

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

• Working experience on Basic AUTOSAR Modules and applications integration – Basic NVM/COM experience.
• Understanding of microcontroller & other hardware peripherals – Strong SW debugging experience.
• Vector DaVinci Toolchain and CANoe Testing experience
• Requirement engineering in DOORS, Detailed Software Design.
• Knowledge of A-SPICE Process for Software Development

Tooling requirement

Tasks /Area of Responsibility

• Microcontroller detailed knowhow with basic hardware handling (Basic hardware ADC, SBC and Watchdog handling with Working experience in AUTOSAR 4.x (MCAL configuration & driver development experience).
• Software driver development in embedded C with static code analysis (QAC) and developer testing. Communication protocols understanding and testing with CANoe.
• Error and change analysis in case of reported timing and functional issues (strong debugging skills in software) and perform basic Developer testing to ensure basic functionality of system.
• Vector/MCAL delivery integration with vector Configurator tooling.
• Software requirement specification updates and Review in DOORS.
• Interact with counterpart for understanding and development/integration as per customer requirements.
