Job summary

Pragathisevasamithi in Hyderabad invites an Automotive BIW and Chassis Design and Development Engineer with 5–8 years experience to join our mechanical team. You will create BIW and chassis components from concept to production using CATIA or NX, and work with CAE tools to assess performance.

Responsibilities include material selection, prototyping, testing, mentor juniors, manage timelines, and ensure regulatory compliance. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
• 5 to 8 years with Tier 1 or OEM experience.
• Proficient in CAD software (CATIA/NX) and knowledge on CAE tools.
• Expertise in design of Sheetmetal, Castings and Plastic parts.
• Experience in GD&T and Tolerance Stack-up Analysis.
• Experience with lightweight materials and advanced manufacturing techniques.
• Experience in joining, gluing, and coating techniques.
• Experience in assembly fixtures and gauges.
• Strong problem-solving skills with experience in engineering analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and willing to work with in Team.
• Knowledge of automotive industry standards and regulations.
