Job summary

Hanker Systems (india) is seeking an experienced Test Automation Engineer to design and implement robust automation frameworks using Selenium‑based tools. The role focuses on API and Web automation with Rest Assured and Cucumber in an Agile setting.

The ideal candidate will have strong Java scripting skills, extensive API testing experience, and be comfortable working with CI/CD pipelines and SQL data validation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in test automation using Selenium.
• Strong knowledge of Java for automation scripting.
• Experience with Selenium-based frameworks like Rest Assured and Cucumber.
• Proficient in API testing and validating RESTful services.
• Experience building automation frameworks for API and web testing.
• Proficient in Maven and Git for build and version control.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
• Strong SQL skills for data validation and XML file validation.
• Understanding of Agile testing in sprint delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites.

Job description

Desirable skills:

• Mandatory years hands-on experience in Test Automation using Selenium.
• Good knowledge and understanding of JAVA.
• Knowledge in Selenium-based framework like Rest Assured/ Cucumber.
• Good knowledge in API Testing.
• Experience in scripting for automation using JAVA.
• Experience with building automation framework for API/Web
• Experience in test delivery in an Agile model with a focus on in-sprint automation.
• Solid understanding of RESTful web services and microservice architecture.
• Good understanding of Maven and GIT commands.
• Strong in validation content from XML, databases and flat files using scripts.
• Strong knowledge of Database and SQL queries for data validation
• Solid understanding of test process: requirement analysis, test scenario design, test case creation, test scripting, and status reporting to stakeholders for testing services
• Experience working with Jenkins to build CI/CD pipeline.
