Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Bengaluru is seeking a hands-on Automation Test Engineer with expertise in Selenium WebDriver and Core Java to design and execute backend automation.

You will work in Agile Scrum teams, develop microservices test cases, employ BDD with Cucumber/JBehave, and verify cloud-based deployments (Azure) with CI/CD tooling like Jenkins and Git.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Selenium WebDriver and scripting with Core Java.
• Experience in API automation testing using Rest Assured.
• Knowledge of accessibility testing is a plus.
• Experience in Agile Scrum environments and independent task handling.
• Experience testing microservices in event-driven architectures; knowledge of BDD (Cucumber/JBehave).
• Cloud testing experience (Azure) with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Git.
• Experience testing Payment Gateway Systems (PGS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write automation test cases and scripts for backend Java applications; must be hands-on and independently handle tasks.
• Experience working in Agile Scrum teams and collaborating in location-independent teams.
• Develop and execute test plans for microservice components under event-driven architectures using BDD (Cucumber/JBehave).
• Plan and execute testing with cloud-based deployments (Azure) and CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, Git).
• Test payment gateway systems and related integrations.

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role:

• Writing Automation test cases and automation scripts for backend applications in Java technologies. Should be fully hands on and independently handle assigned technical tasks.


• Experience of working in Agile Scrum teams. Familiar with scrum terminologies, development process and working in location independent agile teams.


• Experience with building test cases for Microservice components under Event driven architectures. Adept in testing (plan and execution) business functionalities using BDD framework (Cucumber, JBehave)


• Knowledge/Experience in testing with application on cloud (preferably Azure) using CD/CI tools (Jenkins, GIT etc.)


• Knowledge/Experience in testing Payment Gateway Systems (PGS).
